Although this could be fixed by a significant raise in wages, the prices themselves can be driven down by reorienting council taxes solely on land value, or essentially replacing them with a land value tax. In effect, this draws the profitability of a property into closer alignment with its affordability, linking it with the market demand for land. That then creates a scenario where the more valuable the land, the more it is taxed at an equal rate with less valuable land. What does it even mean to scrap NI for the self-employed? That self-employed people will no longer have state pensions? That they won't be obliged to contribute to a state pension, but can if they want to? What happens to contributions that they've already made over the years? It doesn't seem to make any sense. It's not a policy that you could include in a manifesto if you had any chance of winning and having to deliver it.
Everyone gets the same state pension no matter how much you contribute They're basically saying keep your money and grow your business, we'll still pay your pensions
@@Account-wi9wd Even though the amount you get isn't (usually) dependent on contributions, you still need to have 10 qualifying years. Are they abolishing that as well? If so, that would suggest that someone who has just arrived in the country, or never worked a day in their life could just register as self-employed for a year or two and be eligible for the state pension. Surely not, right? There must still be some threshold that you have to clear to be eligible. Also, there are cases where you can be entitled to a reduced UK state pension, such as if you've worked 7 years in the UK and also contributed some years in another country. In that case, the pension you get in the UK is dependent on the amount of your contributions. What happens when that contribution goes to zero under this scheme?

Most of these parties only tell you half of their plan. For example, the Tories will stop using hotels to temporarily house migrants. So where will they be housed? Bread & Breakfast establishments? Same with most of the rest. They'll invest and do this and do that, but to do those things they are very sparse on how exactly that will be achieved. Reform cannot even do their sums properly and their so-called contract is flawed and clearly written out in black and white!! This is the low level of UK politicians with only a rare handful of really capable ones that we rarely hear about.
Me - This why I don't care about politics. Misleading by telling you one side but don't tell you the other, all a big mess of being left in the dark not to know what is true. The whole voting is dumb from watching this video I hear their plans somer being good and some I disliking from all partys am thinking why can't we do all of them. Then with this method, we have a website or ways to get the public involved to decided with was good or not.
Where are the other partys such as the "working class party" I see lots of websites only show the major partys and not do ALL. No wonder am unaware about all the non major partys as there isn't a simple way to find out, just to keep them hidden.

@@RESIST_DIGITAL_ID_UKThere is no "right choice" and it's pretty silly of you to make a statement like that. If you wanted people to vote for reform, you'd tell them your policies instead of fearmongering and shaming people who want to vote for someone else

Everyone gets the same state pension no matter how much you contribute
They're basically saying keep your money and grow your business, we'll still pay your pensions
It's crazy but will pave the way to private healthcare and pensions and if you can't afford those, with the extra £1000 a year you will get, tough.

It was all a bunch of nonsense, this Brexit, the truth is that the UK was richer
it wasn’t anything to do with Brexit it was the conservatives and labours fault for selling off our companies in the first place to companies abroad to make money
You forget that they didn't give us a proper Brexit..The Tories sold us out. They even bent over and gave them our fish
It has nothing to do with Brexit inherently. It’s the way that the tories handled Brexit and post-Brexit Britain that caused the economic decline. Britain is already an overly bureaucratic hellhole as it is, why do you think the bureaucratic hellhole that the EU is would help?

Shame that nobody is talking about rejoining the EU now that the free trade negotiations are basically failed all around. What will we call it? I'll say we call it Breturn. Brentry also sounds fine to me.
Bregin Again?
No one is talking about rejoining the EU because no one wants it. The country voted out, to rejoin 8 years later is undemocratic as it takes a long time to produce trade deals etc. Also we are still part of ECJ and some parties even want to leave that.
Greens have said they will rejoin. Lib dems have said they will rejoin the common market but not free movement of people.
But think, is this in everyone best interest. No. It's not. We need independence and control over our own country first. We don't even have a decent leader or political party at all.
