If you had a solid front axle and 4 bar suspension the front end would be way more noticeable . When you remove it on a Jeep , it's really noticeable . IFS is smoother and does better on road , but a solid axle will flex way more .
@@garettjohnson2234 I'm gonna keep the IFS, I don't do anything needing that much flex, I'd rather just get an imported Unimog if I wanted the most flex. If I were going hardcore into straight rock crawling, then yeah, a Hilux solid axle fosho.
I knocked my sway connectors off on a trail once and didn’t even know about it until I took it in for my lift the weekend after lol. Didn’t even tell much of a difference lol
i finally spotted your truck goin down 80th haha, legit set up! anyways you might know this, maybe not. next time out using 4x4. when turning off traction control hold it again untill the message esc system off comes on the dash. your truck will act more in the "locker" style
I need to pull a pontoon boat for two hours for vacation coming up. I have an old Cadillac Escalade and the sway bar just broke. Do you think it will still be safe enough for the trip?
Sorry forgot to state the reason why. Simply put. If you are towing and you have a broken or removed sway bar, under breaking or turning the load will push you causing the front end to "Dive" and that motion is exaggerated when you have a load causing an even more pronounced body roll. This obviously can lead to loss of traction, coil bind and loss of steering and reduced breaking control.
I aint a sub here but was thinking about removing the sway bars off my truck BUT u didnt do a what if u have to lock up test what happens cause if someone cuts u off u have to lock up or risk killing ppl and doing jail time SO what about that kind of vid ?
I’ve been driving this 2 years straight as my daily and never had an issue with stopping or maneuvering even being cut off If you drive like an idiot you will have other problems
@@Carfleet im just worried about having to lock up cause some ass cuts me off and having my tires go into the fenders cause nothing there to stop them from doing it cause last time i seen a rig without it they locked up the brakes and the tire moved back towards the door
@@Carfleet ya i work on rigs so i get what they do but i just seen that also move from locking up the brakes so didnt wanna risk having my truck messed up if i have to lock up i may find a way to take the links off when i hit trails and leave the back one off all the time maybe idk yet lol
Right on im do that looks more flexible like a link suspension lol ... how about yo tires do they wear faster on the sides from turning cause they kinda pricey lol
You've made the truck more dangerous on road, and gained zero extra traction off road. All your suspension components are moving beyond the normal limits of what they're designed. You now have wheels fouling guards as a perfect example. Also, you got absolutely no further up the shingle pile, in fact it looked like you got an inch or two less.
More dangerous on road... Kind of.. Depending on how he drives. The statement of taking the suspension components beyond what they are designed to do, it 100% inaccurate. The statement about gaining zero off road tractions is also inaccurate. Articulation for moving over obstacles is necessary. More articulation compression or droop will help keep all 4 wheels on the ground IMPROVING traction. The failure of the truck climbing the pile has solely to do with not having lockers nothing to do with removing the sway bars. Look, you learn something new everyday, Your welcome.
well if you ever been offl road. 1 inch on front is a lot of difference. it determines you get stuck or not. and it is completely different thing than removing Solid Rear axle's Sway bar.
If you leave the rear bar on it will tuck the front better and give you more overall articulation.

someday I'll solid axle swap my tacoma lmao

Its only worth with an suspension upgrade and modified wheelhouses in my opinion.
What's so excited to see a video even though you were hurt thanks for the update and very cool to show
Thanks!

Sweet man! I didn’t know that I’ll have to test it out thanks
A sway bar on independent suspension defeats the purpose of independent suspension
Facts
id leave the rears on because it's a coil sprung truck but screw the fronts
I just took it off-road and it did way better without them even the rear!
I’d say if you plan on towing leave the rear on if not like OP said!
powerwagon would be the ideal setup for taking a ram 4x4ing. has lockers, sway bar disconnects, solid axle. unfortunately big money too lol
Ya haha that’s the thing super expensive would be super cool tho
Yea man get dual socks up front or maybe a stronger spring won't be near as bad
good test for us Ram owners to see. Thanks
Ya man! No problem
Looked awesome man. I may do the same to the rear on my Ram.
Thanks! Ya rear doesn’t hurt
It's not very smart to do that if you're driving on the road because it keeps you from flipping over going around turns
Oh nice! Definitely makes a difference
Thanks G
Ram things. that's a pretty dramatic difference....
A pretty ramatic difference haha

It should be ok but drive carefully I pulled a trailer with no sway bars just don’t drive like a mad man
@@Carfleet Thank you.
That is a emphatic NO.

Trucks mint on road just have to be a good driver also I don’t have the rack anymore so it’s no where near as top heavy
Thanks for watching

How in the hell could you have never used four low!? Where do you live in Manhattan or something? I discovered for low when I was 8 years old
I used 4wd just not the 4 low setting
Don't go hauling ass around the corner
I’ve towed with this truck no sway bars she does great as long as you drive normal
