Great video bro. I have a 2017 Ram 1500 5.7, 8 speed, 3.92 gears with a trutrac in the rear and sitting on 35’s. I tow pretty heavy for a half ton and I feel like 37s would kill my towing power since I can’t regear. I just wanna throw it out there to you, I had an open differential From the factory, and that trutrac differential completely changed my truck. I have a small farm and am always dealing with mud, snow and angles. The mud tires were a big upgrade but dollar for dollar, I strongly recommend that differential. It cost me about $600 to buy it and another $200 for ring gear bolts, Amsoil and axle seals. Awesome truck bro and I love how hard you push it!! Keep it up!
Thanks for the advice man I’ll have to look into that I could definitely use something to help off-roading! thanks bud I’m going to keep pushing it cheers 🍻
Great 5 choices man! Awesome video! I feel the most important of all is always tires. Tires are the only thing that actually touches the trail. Simply having proper tires can drastically improve anyone’s off road experience!
I kept waiting for you to mention the locking diffs, but you never did. Was that a stock option? Although i don’t remember ever hearing about front lockers being available from factory. Just curious, the rest of the video is great! Love the light bar!!
@@rednorth1 now I can't decide what's worse. The truck with "free" pipe bumpers or the dude that shows up to defend him? Who gives a crap what my subscriber count is, I don't produce videos. Honestly I'm glad he's producing content... That way more tuck owners will see what not to do.
I chose the body lift because it’s a lot cheaper and it works well on the ram if your not worried about money go with a suspension lift I’d say but do some research🤙🏼🍻
What kind of a lift do you have? I myself have been looking at putting 37s on my 13' and just can't find the right kits for what I want. Anything would help, even just an opinion.
@@johnsponable4907 ya 3 inch body lift and I had a 2 inch level up front and they cleared no problem now I have bilstiens all around so up front there’s a 2.8 lift it flexes really well only rub comes from the rear on inner bedside at max flex

@Carfleet Hey buddy I'm a few years behind the convo here, but I just wanted to say that locking differentials are the shit.
I’m literally parked right next to you right now at sportsplex lol. I saw your channel on your car and went to check it out 😆
Haha that’s awesome thanks for checking it out!

I think locking diffs front and rear are aftermarket options only
Like your mods but do your custom bumpers meet Provincial regulations when driving your rig off road?
I havnt had any issues with cops so far
To each their own I guess.... But I learned everything I needed to know when I saw the orange can of death.

What’s your advice? Stay stock and get 2 feet off-road😂 I’ll be ripping laps around you on the trail buddy 🤪
@@Carfleet you'll be ripping something, not laps though.
Ripping body parts off of that pos you've welded crap all over.
Comment when you don’t have dub rims and actually off-road 😂
What would be ideal for a lift kit...would like to run some 35s. 16' Dodge ram. Live in desert were he host off-road racings in Jan and Feb

What is the mount you used for the roof led bar?
Just a cheap one I got off of eBay 4 years ago
Great video Brendan. Ranger next

@@Carfleet Oh no 😳

I have a body lift just because at the time it was only 500 compared to suspension lifts which are expensive
@@Carfleet Got it. So you've only done a body lift but can still put 37s on? Does it scrape or anything like that when you're articulated?

Hey James have you had any major engine issues with your ram?
I havnt had any issues with my rams engine (so far)
Where did you get your wheels?
Just a local wheel shop
What light bar and mounting set up did you go with? I’m looking to get one
Universal 55 inch light bar I believe I’ve had it on 3 different trucks
random 4th Gen light bar roof mounts off eBay
@@Carfleet thanks brother love the ram!
@@codypolachek5390 np! And thanks! I’ll be taking it off-road soon hopefully
Have you had any engine problems?
No engine problems
@@Carfleet nice that’s fortunate. Love your truck!
What’s the link for the front bumper? I want one of those
It’s super hard to find it’s a light bar mount for a 2500 that goes through the stock bumper I bought it off Craigslist
He’s from Langley

And he goes to Langley sportsplex
