    Yes, yes, and yes! Last year Leo went on 14 flights with me 😳 (10 of those by myself) and let me just say it again- WEAR YOUR BABY. It makes everything SO much easier. I made the mistake my first flight of taking him out of the ergo and it was a nightmare from then on. And by nightmare I mean my stroller went down the alleyway and crashed into the wall while he was screaming in my arms and blankets and toys flew out of the stroller. 😩 I will say that we actually found that taking Leo’s stroller or car seat through the airport was very helpful. We have the graco travel system and have found that it was really nice to have the stroller through the airport to carry our bags and, in the event we had a delay or long layover, I could put him in the stroller and give myself a little break (this is also really nice for potty breaks). I can definitely see the benefit of checking them though. Again, I traveled mostly on my own so no one else was there to carry bags or hold him if I needed a break.
    Oh! And I travel southwest mostly and they have family boarding, which I LOVE. You’re one of the first to board the flight so you have a little more time to get settled.
    As a seasoned traveling momma, I just want to say that you hit the nail on the head!

      Deanna Ver Schneider Thanks for sharing Deanna. I’m glad to hear the perspective of someone flying solo. I wanted to speak more about bringing the stroller along through the airport and gate checking for free. I’m glad you covered that. Your comments are very helpful.

    Great tips! Love how this is organized and concise. I also like to check the stroller right away and then wear my baby through security. For those who are bringing a carseat onboard it's important to remember that it either needs to go in a window seat, or for airplanes with two aisles it can go in the middle seat of the center row. I find that flying with a baby or toddler usually ends up being easier than expected. 🌺 Heidi

    Another tip is that most airlines let you gate check your stroler if it's going to be easer to get your baby though the airport with it. Then when you get off the plain they hand it back to you and put your baby righr back in.

    I think you just need to let your baby feel how he or she feels. What is this negativity to baby crying? I agree it’s not plesent but nothing wrong with a crying baby. I never get upset at parents for upset children in public, you can’t control their emotions. I could understand maybe a kid that is throwing things but just crying is not a crime. We need to be more open to feelings and understanding that crying is not a bad thing and is ok weather you are a baby, teen, adult or whatever. If baby feels like crying the whole flight than cry. Tend to the bay best you can and comfort but don’t worry about if he or she can be stopped. The more you relax the more baby will too.

      Last week, we came home from California and our one year old literally puked on me 30-mins into the flight. Not spit-up. Puke. I smelled like vomit for two hours on that flight. Sucky trip but I really didn't give a damn. The people around us were kinda bugged, but life happens. Gotta laugh it off and just roll with it. How old are your other two kids?

    • @jachinoy1565
      @jachinoy1565 6 лет назад

      5 and 2 yr old....now im pregnant on my 3rd :)
      oh my that puke smell....thus we have lots of alcohol so that we can spray it....sanitised and lots of those plastic bags that we bought from pet store so that we can store used clothes etc. .........its very challenging, tiring but so worth it...we always travel with our family :) eventhough lots of people are telling us that is expensive...the kids will not understand it yet....but we just want to travel with them....it creates lots of memories and we are a filipino family living in singapore so we make it a point that we go back to the Philippines or travel elsewhere :)
      thus I created vlogs...so nice to capture all our moments then we watch it on our big smart tv at home and the kids love it that they see themselves at the tv :)

    Can you have your baby in the stroller all the way to when you get on the plane? Then check it and get it when you get off? Because my daughter is too heavy for me to carry. 😂

      Ya. TSA will check your everything at the gate as per usual. When you board the plane they’ll just tag your stroller and load it on and you’ll get it back when you unload.
      Before the tsa, ask the check in attendants for a plastic bag to cover your stroller with.

    How do you warm up the milk if you're bottle feeding? Also are their ounce restriction on carrying pumped breastmilk?

      You're allowed to take more than the 3.4 oz limit in your checked bag if it's formula or breastmilk. You can read more on that here: bit.ly/324R5XX
      Regarding bottle warming, I'd recommend a portable warmer that can plug into an external battery. Here's one to check out: amzn.to/3GFJSfO
