Back when I was a kid in the mid 80's racing my tamiya Blackfoot with my brother,we carried our stuff in a fishing tackle box. When I got back into the hobby in 2019,I just did the same thing when I needed something for my tools and some spares when I go out bashing,I just got a tackle box from Wal-Mart but I have to admit, your new bag looks really nice. I just might have to check them out and upgrade from my cheap box
I'm also obsessed with cases and bags for things haha. I use an EDS tool bag with pretty much all my EDS tools in and then a Plano fishing tackle box for everything else
I use a Plano tackle box repurposed from fishing to rc. It's big and clunky, but it keeps me well organized and carries replacement parts for a couple different models. All labeled and separated. I've given consideration to switching over to a Milwaukee pack out system but the price is high and the dolly isn't very good, or so I keep hearing.
Hey Mark, I have this bag. Ive had it for just over a year now here in NZ. I have been racing for 2 years. Zip is still going strong with no issues. I've tried lots of different bags and boxes and this is the perfect tool bag. I am not a fan of the fabric/canvas pit bags so I'm building a ultimate pit box from plywood.
I was originally an automotive technician by trade but I was never a tool snob with the “I only buy SnapOn MAC etc” mentality my first automotive teacher and a few mentors instilled the buy the best tool you can afford and depending on how often you are going to use it credo. The other one was what’s a cheap tool? “Well if they won’t put the brand name actually on the tool itself then it’s a cheap tool and you don’t want it” So ok just had to put that out there first as to not come off as a complete MIP fanboy. I literally am still using my Thorp tools I purchased back in the 80’s (which are the ones currently made by MIP for those that don’t know) Ive since added the rest of the metric MIP lineup to that, I’ve never had to grind down a worn down tip and I’ve only broken one tip ever (which was an 0.50) and that’s because I was using it to drive a roll pin out so not the tools fault it broke. 🤷♂️ I actually do have different tools that go to the track because the only other reason I’ve had to replace a Thorp/MIP wrench is because it walked away from my table and never came back 🙄 I’ve got a mix of Losi nut drivers Team Associated hex wrench’s some specialty Hudy tools (remember best tools for the job….) including their 1/4 dr bits because I actually like those better than the MIP ones. I use some small Akro Mills boxes 1 box has literally just what I need on my bench at the track the other two have my full-size hex wrenches and nut drivers with a 4th holding my TS100 soldering iron it’s power supply and accessories (that all usually stays in my bag) then some similar but smaller boxes each with stuff like setup tools then grease bearing oil etc, another with misc tools… I’ve got a standardized type of parts box for each car as well and I can swap all these boxes depending on what I’m running but keep everything modular and still organized it’ll all usually fits in that small Proline tool bag or in one the small crates.
I have Team Integy tools. I also have Vanquish tools and MIP tools. I like them all. They all have good things and bad things about them. I use a fishing tackle box to carry most of my tools. Thoughts ?
i carry two tool bags and small stanley plastic tool box they dont make any more but rc tool storage is a great topic. my brother carrys two bags and a backpack for his rc tool solution
I prefer MIP, they are all I use at this point, I use the MIP to get the screw seated then a Tekton hex key to finish torquing down the screw. The Tekton hex keys fit good, and I haven't stripped a screw in a long time. I replace them every 6 months to a year depending on wear. I haven't had to replace an MIP in a few years. I never use electric drivers, I know if you set the torque correctly you shouldn't have an issue, but I like being able to feel how the screw is going in, if it hits a tight spot, and it's just my preference. I only run 8th scale Nitro Buggy so I am not doing a ton of wrenching, if I was running 3 or 4 classes I would probably have no choice but to use an electric driver
Great vid Mark I've been looking for a new tool bag and I had to pause the vid and order one from beach rc. My old bag was falling apart which I had bought from an electronics store it lasted for 2 seasons 😪
Man when I started this hobby 4 weeks ago I never realized I would need like another 500-1000$ to get tools glues oils grease torch drills cutters cases work bench or table lol etc not to mention extra batteries spare parts this is getting expensive and I don't make much money 😢
Mark, your several emails actually were one email, on 08-24-2021. Your dislike of what you call "our customer service" boils down to the fact that we did not engage on your request of an affiliate program in exchange to promote our product on your channel. We did answer your message but I guess it never reached you. On another note, i am glad overall you like our bag. We have plenty for different applications.
I travel in my rig as of right now and I usually always have 3 rc’s with me. But also having the totes for each car with extra parts and tools, it takes up quite a bit of space on my Semi. I am in the process of downsizing the amount of stuff I haul with me. So this might work and maybe only take 2 cars. Lol. I got a first gen emaxx rustler Vxl and a team associated pro4 sc10 with me. Maybe I’ll drop 2 at the house and bring a rock crawler.lol thanks for what you do and keep up the grind. We appreciate it. 🤙🏽
Hello from southeast alaska. How's your day. I just started putting videos on RUclips. What do you use to hold camera to controllers. My video are jumpy from holding phone and trying to steer at the same time.
Hey Mark! Been following your content for about a year now and it's been awesome! 👌 Anywho I have a slash ultimate and a brushless rustler 4x4 ( among others lol) and I was wondering if I should switch the shocks and put the GTR shocks on the rustler 4x4 since I bash it? so it can handle the harder landings and put the ultra shocks on the slash ultimate since I usually only jump it to softer landings while racing? What would you do?
I can answer that my friend because my oldest son has the 4x4 vxl Rustler. YES! Do the GTR shocks it saves allot of landings and suspension parts, not to mention it saves the front and rear diffs from taking the chassis slap those cars have. Also put the Integy front aluminum control arms on it as well as the Traxxas rear CVD metal drive shafts. It will rarely break again especially if you are bashing it. Keep an eye on your bearings though, keep them clean and WD40 ( or a bearing lube)after every bash. Just me trying to help out. It still has not broken any parts and he is not scared to send it. Have fun and keep the smile on your face even if it breaks.
Hey Mark I been watching your video here for the past year and half I was wondering I got a Revo Platinum and want to replace the servo and thinking I'm go to get the Traxxas Blue 330 servo they would be a lot better then the old ones I'm going to get two of them the power pack battery that comes with the platinum would run them or can run a Lipo battery for them, and I really in joy wacth your videos they help out a lot keep it up MSM Nation.
That Ultimate Racing Tool Bag had more misses than hits. It looks weak, zipper looks cheap, tools, eh, so… so… other tool bag with the horrible customer service was more to my liking. But since they never responded to you, I fear purchasing anything from them and having the same experience as you.

I love those. I also use a old edition Plano fishing/RC box. It’s perfect with drawers and plenty of compartments and storage

Good seeing you at the swap meet Mark (son riding the rc)
Will the WalMart sectioned plastic box fit in the bottom?
Something like that would be perfect!
They almost look like mugen seiki handles with a red end cap they look nice though let us know how they hold up I need a set for bashing
I wonder if the protek replacement tips will fit in my old Duratrax handles.
i carry two tool bags and small stanley plastic tool box they dont make any more but rc tool storage is a great topic. my brother carrys two bags and a backpack for his rc tool solution
Your energy on this video is a lot greater than one from the electric screwdriver comparison video. lol

are you gonna make it to wicked weekend?
Enjoy the week
Do you ever worry about traxxas lipos catching fire or exploding when there not in lipo safe bag.

I know what you mean. There is a lot to get when you’re starting up. I’m hoping once I get all the big stuff bought it will settle down some.
No video on the hobbytown swap meet this past weekend?
Next week… my videos are about a week back

Yes sir! Hahaha
@@MarkSantaMaria can't wait to do it again this year!
Man you should make your own bag I bet you can do really good job and people will by it think about 👍
After using RCtarget and UltimateRC tool bags, which do you prefer or which one do you think is the best one aside the customer service?
Where do I get the colored collars for my protek trutorque tool. Just bought the sets
I need a bag like that. Currently working out of three totes. Lol
When you start to travel a lot you find ways to minimize… hahaha
