Glad she is safe. It's occasions like this that makes it good to have them halter broken and to handle them often. Sure makes handling 1000 to 2000 pound animals much safer.
Yes, I even remember way before the sledgehammer incident! 😂 So glad Tessie wasn't lost. For the stumps, you can drill a lot of holes with your biggest diameter bit, or with the chainsaw cut in as deep as possible in a checker board pattern and pack it with Epsom salts. Wet it down and cover them with a bit of old tarp. It will break down the wood, but takes a while on big ones like those. May be easier to wait till you have the excavator again and keep trying to dig them up. Blessings, Texas Deb ❤️
Glad you was able to get Tessie back in with the others. Way to go giving out kudos to your neighbor. Glad to see your getting everything in order. ♥️❤️🥰♥️❤️
I remember when you used the sledgehammer on the ice!!! Kyle did an awesome job getting that area flat . He's becoming a real pro!.. I'm glad you have cameras on the property & were able to see where Tessie was last night. Poor thing might have been in very bad shape if she had spent more time on the other side of the fence.
I love the way you spend time with the boys, but it does my heart good that sometimes it's just you and Carter. Sometimes it's hard for a blended family...

A suggestion for reseeding the grass: let your lawn go to seed, then cut and bag the clippings. Then spread the clippings over the bare spots, sprinkle a little soil over the clippings and water . It will take some time, but will be quicker than letting the grass grow in from the sides and cheaper than buying seed. We had an area of lawn that was bare and did that. Also in another area under the clothesline, we pulled Bermuda runners from parts of the existing lawn, tied them into a loose circle and plopped a shovel full of dirt on top. The following summer we had a thick lush lawn everywhere. The clippings will compost down and keep the bare dirt from blowing as well . You just need to water it as if you had actually applied grass seed. The runners put down roots and filled in the area underneath the clothesline really quick.
Glad that you were able to get Tessie back with her friends, even though it was a midnight challenge. It’s great to see you and your family helping each other out. Enjoy watching all your families channels from Perth, Australia 🇦🇺
Water hose and rake the dirt away from the stumps. The next week add charcoal around the stump and light. The charcoal burns so hot it will burn the stumps away. It may take a couple of applications but it will work.
I’m glad that you found Tessie and got her back where she could get water 😁. 85* at midnight 😮! Glad you got help from Kyle. He did a really good job adding dirt and leveling the future lawn 😊! Thanks for sharing your adventures, take care and God Bless💕🤗!

Chad, you are going to have Mimosa seedlings all over the place. They are pretty but can be very invasive. And as your Bradford pears mature, they are prone to breaking down the middle in high winds. Both are all over N. Georgia where I live. Love to see you and Kyle helping each other achieve your dreams.
We live in Kansas. It's the same here. It's not just wind that breaks it in the middle. Ice did hundreds one year on our town. And always some every year
Chad, a mimosa is one of my favorite trees. They smell good. When you sit under them, something dewy drips off them. And they are pretty, too. They grow wild and they grow fast. But unfortunately both the mimosa and Bradford pears are known as trash trees. Can’t see the harm, though, as long as they aren’t near your cabin. Both types will be very pretty splashed around the pastures. Btw, you are making great progress on the property. And you’re having fun while you’re at it!!
Hi Chad, how is the family doing? Yes we remember when you made a whole in the tub. I have done that a few times at our farm, when we had snow everywhere.
