C10 Energy Suspension Body Mount Bushings

Video of me installing the Energy Suspension body mount bushings on my longbed. Install was pretty straight forward. I had the front bumper off because I replaced the fenders and header panel.

I had these sitting in my shop forever and your video lit a fire under me . They all went on pretty easy until the last one on the passenger back of the cab . Had to cut a trap door and get to that capture nut that was spinning .

Nice work fried. I'm about to do my '93 Dakota. Similar ES bushings...3 on each side. I have no mounts by the core support. I have an extended cab and all three mounts are toward the middle of the truck. Front-most is under the back of the fender, the other two are under the cab. I don't know what I'm going to run into when I lift the cab. I'll at least remove the fan shroud and will have to play it by ear if there is anything else. Again, nice camera work and nice narration. Good video!

Not sure how it's gonna improve the ride because I haven't driven the truck yet. But, I am re-doing everything where the sun don't shine to get a 100% fresh start when I hit the road.

fried_daddy no garage yet. Live in apartments still. I have 4 vehicles. It does suck not having your own place. I do oil changes on my trucks here and sometimes go to my parents to do more involved work. Next year we are planning on getting a house so I’m hoping everything will be better.

Where did you jack to do the core support bushings?

Same spot as the cab bushings. Fender and core support are mounted to the cab of the truck. They raise when the cab is raised.

3.4116 is the part number just for the mount guys! Thanks for the video!! Would an impact make it harder to get the cab bolts out?

Bad ass man. Did you do the core support last? Did you have to loosen any linkage from the trans?

Didn't drive it until after the bushings were put in. I replaced the core support when putting engine in and the fenders didn't line up until I replaced all 6 bushings at once. What I can say is with the bushings, it feels and drives great!

So how did you like the polyurethane bushings? Did they make the truck too rough riding compared to rubber bushings.

The polyurethane bushings are great! I can't compare them to 30 year old dry rotted, collapsing rubber bushings.
