- Quick video comparing the £9.99 Crivit head torch from Lidl with the £99 Petzl Reactik+
The Lidl Crivit headtorch is fantastic for the money, but not quite as good as the Reactik+ thankfully for me ;)
Lidl specs 200 lumen brightness, range 60M, lighting time approx 2.5-3 hours (at 100%) 1800mah USB rechargable battery, IP44 splashproof RRP £9.99 - (also has a emergency whistle in the headstrap buckle)
Petzl specs 300 lumen brightness, range 110M lighting time 2.5 hrs (at 300lm) 1800mah USB rechargable battery IPX4 splashproof - RRP £99 (has twin LEDs one wide, one narrow)
Hope this is useful.
I've the wee Crivit light! Brilliant for walking in dark area's.Great for cycling on those dark nights and days!🙄5 outta 5!👌
Thanks for showing me the correct way to re-thread the strap back onto my pink crivit.
Garden shots may have worked better with exposure lock set on camera :)
Yes, great suggestion - I realised afterwards the camera AE makes the lidl torch look much closer to petzl for adjustment than it really is, but hopefully the shots give some idea of how they work.
LIDL torch also has red light mode
Sorry I forgot to mention, I never really use red mode, so just missed it. I did think it odd the new Petzl Swift RL flagship doesn't have red mode !
Please add more shots of real lighting outside with fixed camera exposure. I have Reactik+ and Actic and I am considering whether to recommend Lidl to my friends or they will do better with Actik which is fantastic value.
Lidl is a very narrow beam compared with Actik - if you think Actik is fantastic value I'd suggest your friends go with that.
