I agree with this SOLID video Quendya! The camera movement is a huge one for me. I want more control over shift based skills specifically. They have weird camera lock that when performing some of them shift or do unintentional directional animations which can leave you vulnerable in PvP and PvE if you arent at proper ranges. Hope they will make adjustments to Dosa :)
I read the forum post and commented on it with my input, after watching the video your points are a lot clearer and I agree a lot more with the original post. I still think that the comment I made should be addressed as well to smooth out the class, but these are all amazing changes that should absolutely be added. Great video and explanation!
Movement definitely needs some rework to keep it less clunky. The other part really want to see is to cancel first hit of all shift skills. Those are garbage rn with the long animation and cds. Dmg wise i would be cautious to increase until the cancels are in place and we can chain combos faster. In case it becomes overtuned. We should gather info on whats the dps increase with faster skills chaining first.
100% agree with all points. I feel like they also made Stratus Shift (plus the flow 3s) 2s cd instead of 1s/1.5s cd like other classes with a dash because they want him to be slow but who would want to be slow on an assassin like class? Makes no sense. They should lower it to 1s/1.5s and that way can also cancel all of our shift skills back to back more efficiently and seamlessly
He is supossedly more of a skirmisher/brawler than assassin. Maybe make him more protected, because frontal guard reliant and no mobility to align the FG makes for a very weak character.

The attack speed on passive is such a simple oversight by PA. Class literally has NO ATTACK SPEED BUFF, NONE, despite having long animation skills. Maybe they're saving that for Rabams/Magnus, but IDK, seems pretty weird to not have more buffs on skills.
Ye, the oblique cleave have some coding issues i.e they had the condition of "no collision" on some skills (within the specific set of skills) but not all the time on skill use in the entire character class skill for all the skills with "use after other skills" they should look at them as well if they have a special interaction like the oblique cleave. Special interactions are usually specific, but when a skill is derived from the others, this needs to be inherited too.
i don't think you should be able to cancel your caster skills from any skill bc that way you would need to be standing still to cast the full animation with full dmg. My solution is: Let us cast the skill with full damage EVEN when mistifying, but cut the heal part when doing so (or cut the pain dmg for the skills that doesn't heal). that way you would get the skill without damage loss from mistifying but not enough to get the full package of the skill in any scenario if thats what they're going for.
I saw that I thought it was normal but you are right some skills do not damage certain areas and the mobs are left without damage there you have to move and position yourself if you want to do damage in that area

I intend to master dosa, I was grinding a lot with it in dehkia spots, that's what you mentioned in the video, they are defects that need to be fixed, the skill hits are agonizing, I felt that the class has damage!, but the range of some skills are strange that end up getting in the way rather than helping!

I agree with most of your suggestions up until Verga Shaft, but I actually disagree with a lot of your suggestions for the Shift skills (Shift+LMB/RMB/E/F/Q) 1. Verga Shaft is a crazy good PvP initiation skill especially when combined with Cloud General (C), putting -20DP debuff would make it blatantly OP and I wouldn't want to threaten that... I know you're only suggesting for PvE though, but I think Dosa has plenty of DP Debuffs as is baked into the kit, fixing the AoE sizes on the existing -DP skills + using addons should be plenty sufficient imo. Plus the changes coming to the LMB dash being usable even on cooldown (I can't remember it's name off the top of my head) and a 5 second CD to W+F, Verga Shaft can be saved for strategic purposes rather than for movement. 2. I don't agree that the Shift skills should cancel after *any* other skill in Dosa's kit to Attack 2. I think at most they should cancel after Shift+W/A/S/D dash skills and after the Attack 2 of any of the other Shift skills. Making these skills cancel after everything would make it near impossible to use the mistify mechanic - and again this is a PvP aspect mainly although also very useful in Boss Blitz - but for example Autumnal Blitz (Shift+E) mistify/block jump behind the target is another very important PvP catch mechanic for the class. I think a perfect compromise would be to add another key input - I'm thinking LMB (and/or RMB for Shift+LMB) - to instant cast to Attack 2 and/or press LMB/RMB to cast early without mistifying in a direction; because with mistifying you can nearly instant cast and feels great imo, but it uses a lot of stamina (more than I think is necessary imo), and you're forced to pick a direction to jump in when sometimes you want to just go head on, which is the one option Dosa doesn't have with instant casting the Shift skills. 3. On the note of Mistifying with Shift LMB/F/E (RMB and Q don't have this problem), I believe these skills should dynamically cast to whoever you're targeting when you jump. For example, I have many times now - especially in PvP but also in PvE, used the Shift+E > W mistify to get behind someone (and this is only 2x worse with Shift+LMB because it's so much smaller), only to miss because I've jumped too far behind my target. Instead, I believe if I mistify behind someone, the skill should project at my target rather than from me, so that it will hit even if I've been forced a little too far backward (because teleporting mechanics have always been clunky in this game). Same goes for example Shift+F > S mistify backwards; I'll miss every time unless I've purposely put my back to my target prior to casting and am S mistifying to get in front of them again or I'm in a PvP situation where I've somehow predicted my opponent predicted me to jump backwards and will meet me where I'm going. Instead, if I'm S mistifying and my target is in front of me, the skill should project onto my target, rather than from me. Yes this does mean you're essentially dynamically adding range to these skills when you mistify instant-cast, but I believe it's an easier way of going about fixing the issue of missing because the clunky teleportation mechanics moving you too far. Otherwise you'd have to buff the AoE sizes to an outrageous degree, and the only Shift skill Doas has that I believe really needs a true buff to it's size is Shift+LMB 4. I think the coming changes in Global Labs will fix most of the mobility complaints; I think people need more time to get used to the movement of the class, I think it's quite good - my main complaints after the upcoming changes to the LMB flow being usable on cooldown and 5 second cd W+F will just be stamina consumption - the two Shift W/A/S/D dashes I think should have their Stamina usage halved - and you should be able to walk out of the dashes faster / connecting attack animations should be tighter. I'll also double tap the point you made about W+F kick, it's silly to keep you in that for as long as it does. Also as a side suggestion, F / Blinding Slash's block jump is very inconsistent if not broken entirely, too many times I'll be 'locked on' to someone only to block jump in front of them still, but now I'm turned around, missing my skill, and primed to be back attacked...
I don't agree with about half of it. I am totaly on board with the hit range, it should be more consistend and the movement needs some smothing. But I think the shift skills for example are fine. It is part of the class. Yeah, you can't spam them, but they actually open up posibilitys that way. If you just cancel through them, the class loses part of the fun. For PvE it would be nice, if they still hit forward if you dont't aim at anything but that would be annoying in PvP. Dosas protected KD are already realy strong in PvP. I don't think they need a damage Buff or -DP. That would just make them totaly broken. I don't think that would be a good Idea. Will just backfire with nerfs later on. I'm not grinding at End-game spots, but does Dosa lack that much damage there? At Gyfine it's perfectly fine. Is it not just the attack range? I could be wrong about that

If it weren't buged and it would move you trough the pacs every time like it's supposed to be, it's a great way to reposition. I'm sorry if thinking while playing is to much for you. Last time Scholar has a larger AoE but slow on attack speed but this time the new class has larger AoE but slow on attack speed. That's all, the only problem is that the control for example Shift+E it's fix, I want to control It.
Worst class in the game and it could have been so cool. The fact that I can't control where my shift skills go is simply not possible. The animations don't work at all. The class is so clunky
Sorry, but it does better than Musa in many areas and feels better and smoother to play than Musa even though it needs some polish. I would like to see them polish Musa to the same degree because you can barely get 39k trash at Highlands, while Dosa passes 42k and 1phase legs with ease due to how it's damage is spread in the kit. It's so far from the worst class.
No need to fix cloudveil hitbox, its good enough, looks like bdo players nowadays are used to have huge radius on every skill. There has to be many pin-point skills otherwise all classes will be like wizards. We dont want to make him another Maegu.
I agree, if you analyze the attacks follow the direction of the sword, what is the point of having a larger area for the character and it is easy to imagine a larger area of attacks?
I think you are missing the point at 2min. This class is using a sword and in fact if you look at the movement of the sword it is accurate with real life. I think they tried to make this character accurate to how Katana would actually slash.
@@exsecttno one wants another insanely op class either, you are complaining about the skill hits or the speed but you seem to ignore the extremely high damage of the class for how braindead it is to play with it, there could even be buffs in those aspects that you are complaining about as long as it suffers nerfs in the damage in return to be fair otherwise it would become unstoppable

For (space) skill, i prefer it remains like this right now. The only skill need to get rid of collision is the dash skill (A/D + shift)
in shift F skill, the arrows has no hits, it deals no damage. its weird

tbf he swings a giant ass sword, that is hard to do quickly. it would be much appreciated if they linked together more quickly

How do you find Dosa in grinding high end areas and zones such as Crypt of Resting Thoughts?
They should've just had cone AoEs like with Awakening Maehwa instead of these quirky weird different areas.
Watched your combo guide but when I tried it, it wasn't activating the whole LMB tree after the RMB tree at least not without using F

Last time Scholar has a larger AoE but slow on attack speed but this time the new class has larger AoE but slow on attack speed. That's all, the only problem is that the control for example Shift+E it's fix, I want to control It.
the other way around, class is fast but has very crappy AoEs that make absolutely no sense.

Sorry, but it does better than Musa in many areas and feels better and smoother to play than Musa even though it needs some polish.
I would like to see them polish Musa to the same degree because you can barely get 39k trash at Highlands, while Dosa passes 42k and 1phase legs with ease due to how it's damage is spread in the kit.

I think you are missing the point at 2min. This class is using a sword and in fact if you look at the movement of the sword it is accurate with real life. I think they tried to make this character accurate to how Katana would actually slash.
