In the summer of 2004, I remember I bought a DVD with two parts of this gorgeous movie. I was a little more than fu¢kin' impressed. The film is 100 out of 10.

19:48 It's a fairly subtle note, and for that reason, it's kind of deemphasized in this movie, but there are _still_ ways his life could end. For one, he could get a hemorrhage in a vital organ.
That would not look very dramatic. He would just fall to the ground, suddenly unconscious, and then he would die. But circumstances under which continued survival is _truly_ guaranteed are _especially_ few and far between.
Kirsten Cloke playing a John Denver LP - who, famously, died in a plane crash. Having just avoided this, it would not have been my go-to choice.

I haven't seen anyone mention this yet, but the plane crash part of this movie is based on real life. In 1996, TWA Flight 800 departed JFK airport headed for Paris and exploded shortly after taking off. It even had a real life class of high school students going on a trip to Paris. But of course everything after that in the movie is purely made up.

The 2ns one is pretty good too. After that they kinda start to fall off. 2nd one has more creative deaths imo.
In this type of movie where u can possibly die in everyday life stuff around u the best way to beat it is to be in a white cushion soft room of the insanity place ur very well protected n no harm will come to u by any object that is ever made in the world lol

16:01 Well now, this is just _generally_ unwise; _needlessly_ risky. That's a computer with a cathode-ray-tube monitor. It's an electronic device. Right now, she feels the need to consume some kind of liquid _directly above_ it. Never in my _life_ have I felt such a need and she _really_ should know better.
If I had to sum up the series:
FD1: Good
FD2: Best one
FD3: Stupid, but still fun
FD4: God-awful
FD5: Good
Me who literally almost died like 10 times in my life including 5 times in the last 2 years... yeah final destination is science fiction haha
Acting aside, the sequels get cooler. Your destination has been determined. 🚌

As a person that grew up and by large loves Horror, this franchise was always very 'Eh.' for me. I'd watch if you did more, but wouldn't mind if you didn't either.

Well, I mean, there are _five_ movies in the franchise. I've seen the first three. There are especially climactic, intense scenes, but after a little while, they become cliched. That's the only reason I haven't watched any more.

The movie makes no sense. Why does Death wait 6 months to try and kill them again? Why is Death trying to kill Alex at first if Claire is next? Why is the teacher drinking vodka out of a mug? So many questions...

The first time I watched "Final Destination" it was the German version. So my brain was working in German.
In the scene where Alex picks up the shred of paper saying "Tod" I was like: "Well, I assume so, but what kind of hint is this supposed to be and WHO is actually gonna die?"
As you know "Tod" is the German word for "death", and it took me a couple of minutes to realise that the paper was telling the name of Alex's friend which is also Tod, and it was meant as a clue that HE would become the next victim. 😁
Even after all these years I still have to question why the bus was travelling THAT fast around a 90 degree corner...

The fourth movie is bad, but I still suggest pushing through it anyways.
Fun fact: Toilet seats are made with a material designed to prohibit bacterial growth. Toilet paper however is excellent at absorbing bacteria.
You don't need to sit on paper.
The sequels are all just experiments to see which one can come up with the craziest death scene. Entertaining for that, but don't expect anything new in terms of plot.

Yea this franchise is pretty much all jump scare and horror. That's its bread and butter. It was shock value popular when it was new, but as the series progressed it kinda lost its lustre after awhile, while the last movies as i recalled became more about expanding with shock value sprinkled in. It's probably worth a watch but i'm not sure even if jumps scares and horror were your thing you'd want to see the entire franchise. But since it had so many movies in the franchise knowing of it and seeing one might be worth it, as it probably gets referenced a lot in other medias.

Someone has a lot of money... back in 2000, going a month in europe was pretty cheap. I did 1 month in like 5 countries in europe and it cost me like 2000 euros. And that was in 2009. Probably way cheaper in 2000.

What a lot of people these days miss from the film is the boarding sequence at the airport and the rules and regulations.
This was filmed before 9/11 and a lot of what people have to go through now when all worked up about an airplane exploding in the air is different. Post 9/11, such open claim and resulting plane explosion would have gotten him a stay with Homeland Security for a long time while they try to determine the cause.
So, those of us old enough to remember how easy it was to fly somewhere without worry about TSA, Homeland Security, or post 9/11 miss those days.

You were concerned that having been a stewardess everybody getting killed on the plane would be extra freaky, but it could be worse - the third movie involves a roller coaster and was filmed using one i've been on many times. That got a bit awkward
The first three Final Destination movies are the best the others are just weird also they are working on a 6th one now so it seems. I lile Ali Larter who is the actress of the only girl that survived in the group and the main actor is busy acting in the Chucky tv series now haha. Nice reaction and it is an original idea cause it's like the board game Mouse Trap it has you guessing on the ways the people might die and yes it throws hints in there every once in a while. they never do explian what is giving the visions to warn them about Death's design and why it chooses the person it chose but never mind still good movies none the less. Just so you know the actor that plays the guy who works at the mourge that is Tony Todd and he is famous for playing the Candyman in the first three Candyman horror movies and side note if you do check that one out you should see the first one it's the best.
