I'm a big trans am fan and I have a '76 455, but I would have preferred these guys cut up a '75 Trans Am instead of an original split bumper camaro. Or maybe a '74 firebird and put a ''70-73 grill on it.
i am would just build a chromoly front subframe that bolts to a tube frame footbox X bars, and rear coil over suspension on a bolt on rear subframe , all low porfile chromoly tube with X bracing, and there would not be a need to delete rear seats. 2 bolt on subframes front and rear to a shear off bolt on middle frame. this way you have detachable front and rear subframes on vehicle that if in accident doesn't bend the entire thing up like a full frame car, instead it behaves as a subframe car in an accident because it IS subframe car still, and while driving behaves more as a full frame car does ! hahahah.
We now know how GM built Camaros at Fremont Assembly. Toyota used full frames under Tacomas. Does Tesla use subframes now that Fremont is a Tesla plant?
a small block tall deck large bore block from dart, 9.5" deck or custom 10" deck would be nice. With a 4.195" bore. and make the cubic inch about 415 or 420 that way you have rod length and some piston height without too much stroke. Yet any head you put on there shall have more port efficiency and energy because the cylinder itself is unshrouding the valves a ton.

I hated this show at first but now I'm a huge fan! You guys build cool stuff thank you for all you do.
Great episode guys.
This is an epic build. Autocross is the best possible use for this car. I used to race autocross often.
Great start. Love watching.
Usually see people tac with a MIG, not a TIG. I love it.
Great choice on the UMI. We've won every major Pro-Touring event on the East Coast these past few years in our 2nd Gen. Yours should rip.
I’m waiting 😍👍
I have 73 camaro
Nice job 👍
Love the music keep it going great job
SALUDOS A TODOS PN GRACIAS POR SUS SECRETOS
In the last video you were saying that you are leaving the wheel tubs out to access the roll cage and suspension
Very informative! Can you please tell me what brand of gas lens and pyrex cups you are using on your tig torch? Thank you.
Amazing video.
1972 Chevrolet Camaro in Carcass

@Carcass crew--are those original Z28 rims or aftermaket knockoffs? Thx
Could do a Race Camaro convertible lol. Or a Camaro Kart! 😆

@fosterpainter Camaro/Firebirds, Corollas, Tacomas, and Teslas were/are all built in the same plant, which is still in California.
hope you stay true to it's heritage and put in a 400 sbc not a ls

if you're going with thicker than needed mild steel DOM, I'm surprised you're then TIGing it rather than wire feed. It will be nicer for sure, though.
gotta love the 80's era porn music.
not reusing the tie rod ends or ball joints? Be sure to beat the p*ss out of the knuckles as shown rather then using separating tools
Bald
I want to work with you please give me a chance dude
You can come work for me for free99 an hour
Why is Jimmy bald?
I dont think robert gee woulda built his camaros that way 🤷🏼♂️
Aweful nice Camaro to be butchered like this, what a waste just for someone’s fun.
Good thing they made close to 70 thousand of them.
@@RetroCheater81 exactly, and by 72 they were becoming smog pigs.
Back in the day these were ripe for transplants and had a hell of alot of fun!
Did you see how rough it was to start? Front end and hood were creased, probably was in an accident....
@@19chev81 yeah I think one of their Shorts explains why this was a good candidate for what they’re doing.
