Making Neon Signs in Blender from a Simple Image

In this quick tip video, we will see how we can take an image (like the icons from material.io/) and turn them into neon signs that we can animate. This tutorial requires at least Blender 2.92.

Yeah, it uses the potrace library that Inkscape uses to do a similar function. It’s very helpful. Glad you liked the video 🙂

If I recall correctly they are from Google Material Icons. Do a google search for that and you will find them!

By default, search is mapped to F3, but in this video I must have had it mapped to the spacebar.
