Iv just started these classes 2 weeks ago, from a 7 year crossfit background training . I have quit crossfit- to injured, constant fatigue, boredom, too many overhead weighted exercises, too much kipping work and too many people treating every class as a competition and too many repetitive exercises ! I thought I hit every muscle in crossfit but no way!! The first class I did pilates, I struggled to do some of the floor exercises - leg lifts and glute work and was sore the next day! Well 2 weeks later and 6 classes in, I'm transformed, I love the low impact and all the core and functional moves and yoga moves. I will never go back to crossfit and will now keep pilates as my main exercise. I love the hiit pilates and find these work me harder in a different way but far more healthy, non impact, low injury rate and better for both mind and body. Please keep uploading all your workouts as im now addicted. Thanks

Absolutely and after today's one, I can feel my quads, glutes, inner thigh all like iv done heavy lifting - actually feel it more than lifting weights! I'm now planning next week's sessions and re doing one I did today to get my muscles used to it!

I workout almost everyday. Following different channels. I recently got the confidence of things getting easy for me and here comes this one. So challenging, so difficult, felt like leaving it in the middle but i kept going
Just did this again today. I first did this workout last February and a few times since. Today was the hardest because like you always say "practice makes progress"! Since I now can do the exercises with better form, it was a much better workout. This is my first time commenting since I found you in February. I needed to give my wrists and shoulders a break from my yoga practice which had really suffered since the Pandemic began. I've heard over the years that Pilates was an all around excellent exercise, so I tried a few classes that I found online, but wasn't impressed because there wasn't a lot of guidance on correct form. All my favorite local yoga instructors were constantly reminding the class about the correct form to use to avoid injury, but also included variations of a pose so you could choose what felt better for your body. Well, I found a GOLD when I discovered you! You are AMAZING!!! You possess every quality of my favorite instructors: calm, positive, incredibly knowledgable, high quality and super enjoyable sequences, know just the right time to say "smile and think happy thoughts, etc., etc., etc. I could go on and on! Plus your "4 Week Get Fit Challenge was just what I needed! Before that I was doing just one of your 30 or 40 minute classes. I really needed to get back to an hour workout, so your 4 weeks of suggested classes was perfect. Thank you so so much for sharing your expertise and positive outlook! I know it's not easy, but you make it look effortless!❤😍😘💕🙏

I desperately needed a break today from working at home and felt soooo much better after this workout. I really liked the new rollover you did with the teaser, my teasers are so much stronger now. I thank you for your message at the end of the workout -- I was struggling a bit during some exercises and was hard on myself thinking I should be able to do this why am I not strong enough? But you are right, I will be doing this one again and again because its about progress...

Thanks Desiree - your workouts are helping me get so strong (after a big weight loss) and I'm so grateful! Question about the bent knee leg lifts in reverse forearm table top -pelvis lift 8:49) - what do you do if there seems to be too much pressure (pain) on your shoulders? Again - huge thanks!!!
That’s wonderful! Thank you so much for your kindness and support. As far as the reverse forearm tabletop goes - its a very common issue. Be sure your alignment is correct with elbows directly under the shoulders. If you don’t have wrist issues, you could try doing it on your palms (with straight arms). That may feel better for your shoulders. If that doesn’t work, I’d suggest just keeping your pelvis down on the floor and do all the leg movements. 🥰💖💪🏼

I understand but please try not to get discouraged! I too struggle with upper body stuff…it’s definitely my “weakest link,” but like I always say…practice makes progress! 🥰💖💪🏼

Wow... that was a tough one! I finished the workout dripping in sweat (which was unexpected since the exercises are mostly slow). I’m still struggling a lot in those reverse table top section but I’m sure I’ll improve overtime 😊. Thank you desiree for the lovely workouts ❤️

Desiree literally means intense . I’m a big fan of her workouts but I was like man this is what happens when you skip a few weeks. I could barely get thru this ! Lol
I did it! Yes, with little breaks 😉. I seem to have very tight papas muscles, especially left side. I hear it click with each repetition. It also seems related to reoccurring sciatic issues. I’m hoping deeply strengthening my core will help. Maybe I’ll intersperse some yin yoga. Any thought?
Although I’m unable to accurately diagnose you…I am a huge believer in the healing power of movement. I also think it’s really important for all of us to have a good balance between strength and flexibility/mobility…so be sure you mix in your stretching with your strengthening! I have both stretch & yoga playlists! 🥰🥰🥰
This was challenging, but fun to do after work today. I even stepped up the challenge by wearing my 2lb ankle weights when I did this. Had to modify some a bit, but it was fun
@@DansiqueFitness I love to wear my ankle weights most of the time when doing Pilates to amp it up a bit. Sometimes I use my 5lb ones, but I generally prefer my 2lb ones for much faster paced videos for easier mobility

Thanks Desiree - your workouts are helping me get so strong (after a big weight loss) and I'm so grateful! Question about the bent knee leg lifts in reverse forearm table top -pelvis lift 8:49) - what do you do if there seems to be too much pressure (pain) on your shoulders? Again - huge thanks!!!
That’s wonderful! Thank you so much for your kindness and support. As far as the reverse forearm tabletop goes - its a very common issue. Be sure your alignment is correct with elbows directly under the shoulders. If you don’t have wrist issues, you could try doing it on your palms (with straight arms). That may feel better for your shoulders. If that doesn’t work, I’d suggest just keeping your pelvis down on the floor and do all the leg movements. 🥰💖💪🏼

Lovely workout Desirée! Though I still struggle when it comes to arms workout. Still haven't got used to it and it discourages me :(
I understand but please try not to get discouraged! I too struggle with upper body stuff…it’s definitely my “weakest link,” but like I always say…practice makes progress! 🥰💖💪🏼

Wow... that was a tough one! I finished the workout dripping in sweat (which was unexpected since the exercises are mostly slow). I’m still struggling a lot in those reverse table top section but I’m sure I’ll improve overtime 😊. Thank you desiree for the lovely workouts ❤️

I seem to have very tight papas muscles, especially left side. I hear it click with each repetition. It also seems related to reoccurring sciatic issues. I’m hoping deeply strengthening my core will help. Maybe I’ll intersperse some yin yoga. Any thought?

Although I’m unable to accurately diagnose you…I am a huge believer in the healing power of movement. I also think it’s really important for all of us to have a good balance between strength and flexibility/mobility…so be sure you mix in your stretching with your strengthening! I have both stretch & yoga playlists! 🥰🥰🥰

This was challenging, but fun to do after work today. I even stepped up the challenge by wearing my 2lb ankle weights when I did this. Had to modify some a bit, but it was fun

@@DansiqueFitness I love to wear my ankle weights most of the time when doing Pilates to amp it up a bit. Sometimes I use my 5lb ones, but I generally prefer my 2lb ones for much faster paced videos for easier mobility
