The best way to describe why Lestat kills so violently is to remember the descriptions in the novels; when you do a repetitive task like biting a human and draining their blood, or taking out somebody in your way, it does get ordinary and boring when you've done it for a hundred years, so Lestat puts some creativity into the killing. He makes it interesting, varies the approach, the attack, every time. To him, it's just adding variety to the everyday, and he has a lot of everydays to look back upon.
I LOVE that you guys noticed the tiny little detail about how Lestat rises from the floor in the church scene... The actor was definitely on a wire. But it looked SO cool and it was such a tiny detail but that little glimpse of like how like ... Inhuman and animalistic Lestats movements are... Like a predator. A lot of people miss it here on RUclips ...but it's such a beautiful detail. 😍

nah he didnt sadly Paul had mental issues his whole life, that wasn't Lestat, Lestat did kill Lilly which he addmited pretty mich instantly, but he wouldn't hurt Louis' family. He did tones of other horrible shit tho lol
OMG, YES!! I love this show. I need more people to watch this show. It so well done and the cinematography is great. I honestly think it is one of the best adaptations I have seen where the race of a character was swapped and it had a realistic impact on the storytelling, making it richer and fuller.

As a huge, life long fan of the Anne Rice novels this show is based on, I was very skeptical about this adaptation. I thought the 1994 movie was just okay, but it omitted and changed a lot of the original story. This TV adaptation has also made some fairly significant changes, but every one of them has only enhanced the story instead of the opposite. The writing is on point, and the acting across the board is absolutely stellar, particularly from Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid.
Great reaction and analysis, ladies. If you have the chance to read the Anne Rice books, they are amazing. This version of IWTV is closer to her books than the film. 😊

Lestat is very much about consent. In the book and original movie, if Louis had said no, he would've drained him. He'd only known him 2 days. In this show, they'd actually been dating (without calling it that), and I truly believe that Lestat wouldn't have killed Louis, if Louis said no. He'd just keep stalking him. But Lestat doesn't want a pet. He wants a partner. He actually does love Louis.

yes because when the alderman guy forced himself on her she obviously didn’t “prep/clean” & so when he pulled out there was some shit on him!! which is why there’s the smell!! but the “catfish” line refers to her pissing on him in order to get him off her!!

He sort of got his way.
This show is spectacular one of the best new shows in recent years. But you both laugh and joke way to much often times talking over scenes, if you could dial it back that would be much appreciated. Thank you though for reacting to this amazing show.

I didn't realize until recently that the actor who played the alderman is the voice actor who does voice acting for Bender in Futurama.
