There has been a lot of arguing and backlash over this ep for a year and half now, so I can’t tell y’all how refreshing it is to see your reaction. It was a thrilling, heartbreaking, emotional and dramatic hour of television! Next ep just gets messier, so get ready!👌🏽
Louis’ sister was showing him the grave she had made for him. She had to “kill him” in her head and heart so she could move away and on with her life and her family.
It was a double edge sword because now he can’t go back to that town. It closes a chapter for all of them. Pretty much like Lestat. Advised you have to cut mortals mortals off.
I couldn’t wait to see the review of this episode. You both have my undivided attention. Your reactions were exactly what I expected. Those smiles will put Windex out of business 😍😌😉
this is so hard to rewatch it's where things really turn dark.. everyone and their mother have an opinion on this episode but we can all agree it's really memorable, emotional and impactful episode
Oh my... Finally the infamous 5th episode, it was an event, caused lots of heated debates and controversies lol Apart from Louis, all the vampires in it showed their true predatory nature! a good reminder that these are monsters!
the end is so hard to watch 😭😭 I love how understanding you are of Claudia, I feel like a lot of reactors didn't like her because they see her as something in the way of Louis and Lestat's relationship, as if it wasn't fucked before she came !! as always had such a good time with you ladies
This is so great!!! I love y’all! So, yes, that was Louis’ grave site- his sister was basically like you are dead to me- idk wtf you have going on but you are not my brother and to move forward in my life, I need to lay you to rest. Also, Louis and Claudia had no idea that Lestat had the cloud gift- he never let them know.
Lestat stopped time so he and Louise could mark Tom Anderson and the police captain because they realized Tom Anderson had invited them there as a ruse so the police could search there house without them being there and the police captain could get a look them. Lestat and Louise marked them as a warning not to mess with them.
When this episode originally aired, it did not have the content warnings for sexual assault and domestic violence at the top and personally, I'm very glad it does now. I found it really hard to watch the first time through, completely unprepared. Like, yes, it's a show about vampires with all the blood and gore that entails but with some acts of on screen violence (even unrealistic fantasy/horror violence), context can make it more sensitive for some folks. For example: I was totally fine with watching Lestat punch a priest through the head in the first episode. But then watching him drag Louis across the floor by the jaw like that just felt SO much worse. All of that being said, having had enough time to process my own feelings about these more sensitive scenes and having re-watched them since, I FULLY agree with your take on how powerful and impactful these scenes and story beats were. I'm looking forward to your reactions to the fallout from this episode!
This episode embodied what people deal with in bad relationships every day. The toxicity in the relationship and family dynamics can be very tricky . It was hard to watch, but after rewatching, it made sense. An abuser will always make it about themselves and not the abused. The abused tends to stay and take the abuse and shield the abuser and it just continues until someone is seriously hurt or unalived. This show definitely needs an award or a few. The rawness and indepth acting is beyond superb. #IWTV #IWTVCAST
This was such an emotional episode, but so so good! The way it ended lol you guys were so pissed! The thing is, how could Lestat do such a thing to Louis, who he claims to love?? He's exhausting! Poor Claudia, finding an asshole of a vampire who abuses her. Jesus Christ!
Hold on to ya hats.. episode 6 is my absolute FAVORITE. You ladies are awesome. And remember, this story is from one vampires’ ‘recollection’ and point of view😉
i love you guys’ reactions so much, you two are so funny and insightful!!! p.s, the song that plays when grace says goodbye to louis is called “Hey Sis You Don’t Need Me” 😢
Gonna miss Bailey. She killed this role. Lestat was an abusive asshole. Ill stand on that hill. Having READ the books, watched the movie and now seeing the show. Claudia was JUSTIFIED IN HER VERSION 😂🤣 of her hate
I respect Daniel for standing up for himself Louis was wrong to do that as for grace i understand why she did that she's right the moment Louis became a vampire he should had stayed away from his human family i really felt bad for claudia in this episode she learned the hard way that lestat was telling the truth about vampires
I’m loving y’all’s reactions. I was never a big fan of Lestat and this episode definitely solidified that for me. So excited to see your reactions to the last 2 episodes.
Lestat is RUTHLESS, and Claudia was a mistake [a rule-breaking purposeful mistake]. Book version: Lestat never does or would ever harm Louis in this way; he loves Louis too much. Claudia's creation is illegal in the vampire world. She's too young, lacks wisdom and self-control because she has not lived long enough as a human, and can't physically care for herself. T.V.: Louis's grave is marked because his sister sees that he's not aging, and she wants to move on with her family. Book: Damn, I can't remember when/why. It's been too long since I read "Interview With The Vampire". It was 1st released in 1976, so it was old when I read it in high school. Yes, Anne Rice is a classic. You guys, please read the Vampire Chronicle books if you get a chance, or listen to the unabridged Audible Book versions read by Simone Vance/David Pittu/Kate Reading/Jonathan Marosz. Which are all Awesome. [They make all the new wave pop culture ones that follow, Vampire Diaries, True Blood, Twilight, etc., and many others, feel like trash.] And YES, I'm biased and prefer the sophisticated, philosophical intellectuals that Anne Rice's vampires truly are. And yet, one can't help but find the T.V. version entertaining af.
Nope. That just isn't true. I've read MANY MANY comments about this episode and have yet to read one that defends Lestat's violence in this episode. They may defend Lestat OVERALL, but none defend his beat down of Louis. There's a difference.
@7n154 i have read many who defend Lestat's rage and violence against Louis, too...they say that Lestat was justified because he stayed with Louis through all the years of Louis's depression...and for Louis to just up and leave the moment Claudia shows up was not fair at all to Lestat...Lestat was right to say "Hell naw, mofo...where the f**k you think you going when i have been right here...for 7 damn years i have beenright here through all your moping and pouting!"...and plus he is a vampire.. he will heal...
@@7n154 geesh, Dr. PhD, t's just a simple debate about a scene...no need to prove how smart you are or how high your PhD critical thinking skills are...the simple matter is some people defend Lestat's anger which led to a violent act towards Loius...everyone is entitled to have an opinion whether you agree or not, Professor @7n154...furthermore, if you can justify the anger, can you can justify and defend the violence that caused that anger?...
Daniel is dying, he don't give no fucks about pissing Louis off. That's why Louis probably chose him to begin with.😅
True!

How is that a double-edged sword?
I don't think you understand what that metaphor means
"we sell incinerators" kills me every time, like, come on Louis lol

Same. What they were able to do with this show in just 7 episodes is insane.
@@AD-tr7sxinsanely unfair. It should be at least 10.

@walksonair The whole story, yes, was on Louis point of view. But this episode? Nah hun, episode 5 was all Claudia's diary, HER point of view.

Yay! Thank you!
Mommas the drama. How am I supposed to not be invested???
Ya’ll gotta react to the Fallout series and Shogun. Those the big guns right now.
Actually Yes! Great guess😁
Thank you
This episode I feel will be Key in season 2. Friendly reminder that Claudia didn’t write this past this point. We’re back to Louis’ account…
But he's reading Claudia's diary...So much so that is HER reaction after seen Louis down, angrily at Lestat, in the end.

So far I am enjoying the books I have read 5 of them I absolutely enjoyed queen of the damned and tales of the body thief
If you read the books and still hate Lestat, i can't help you lol
so Nikki and Amber, was Lestat justified for beating Louis's ass?...many people think he was right...
