I know he was in a cover band however I do find it truly disturbing how he mimics every Ace frehley pose,gestures,mannerisms....scary stuff. Bill stated in his book that eventually Ace treated him like garbage, that he is indeed a guitar god, but also a lousy friend etc

Given the age of this film I would bet if it is Tommy it's probably when he was in a Kiss tribute band, as he's never done the smoking guitar in Kiss

That's not Tommy, it's a guitarist from a KISS tribute band. Check out: KISS Tribute Documentary Larger Than Life. I think that particular guitarist was in a band called "Strutter."
