When you talk to the felyne chef before you fight shagaru magala i cry everytime in a game where everyone is always expecting you to fight for them, to hear a friend tell you they value your life and there is no shame in running away it hits pretty hard
There is indeed no shame in running away from what you can't defeat. If you won't make it back alive, you should consider the impact your death would have on others and the consequences of failure. Yet despite the dread of facing Shagaru Magala, the Hunter still choses to face it. Regardless of their fears, the Hunter must put them aside and kill Shagaru Magala because EVERYONE is depending on them to put an end to this terrible threat that will destroy the natural order if left to it's own devices. There isn't a single person other than the Hunter who can bear that heavy burden. It's brave, to do what needs to be done despite your fears and doubts.
I love how that one guy who tends to the fields is also just casually the town's guru, and he'll be in the cave from time to time. Just a nice touch to show that even these "grand guru" types still have lives they need to tend to.
MH4U is the peak of Monster Hunter series I feel like 😔 gameplay, mechanic, theme songs, storyline-and overall experience, this game is really endearing.
This was my armor browsing music... when I spend hours browsing through armor pieces at the smithy to make my own mixed set. Because I didn’t know about the Athena’s A.S.S. tool yet.
This theme hits me so bad, it's not just my favorite town theme in the whole franchise, but i used to play this game nonstop back then, and i was going through a really hard time in my life. The nostalgia it vibes off to me is just unmeasurably high in both happiness and sadness i can' t describe it, not helping the composing is actually made to evoke those feelings and here i am, happy im still alive. Lol
@@mhfuwindowbird nah man i agree, i have 400ish hours in world iceborne and.... it's just not the same as the old MH games, even MHG ad a better feeling. Game is just too different, i think the franchise loose something while trying to be more modern, just the type of music (even if they are good), graphic style, gameplay, even the menus just don't taste like the good'ol days. My journey really start at MH4U (i just play 3 or 4 hours on MH3U for the test when i was young) and sometimes i regret that there is no remake, sometimes i ask myself why i didn't kept the MH4U cartridge.
Unless Rise blows the rest of the series away, MH4U will be my favorite monster hunter game and one of my top games in general. It’s as you said, it just has something more to it...
4U feels like MH in its purest form. No gimmicks like clutch claw, wirebugs, hunter arts/styles or underwater combat. Those things aren't necessarily bad (though clutch claw is), but 4U still feels like the best MH experience. It's also the hardest game out of them all imo. That being said it still has tons of flaws, unfortunately.
When i found mh4u this week the first thing i did was go to cathar and listen to its theme. The game is pretty dead when playing online but i still find joy helping newer players get to grank since im hr999 and gold crown

You know, MH4 was probably the game in the series I played the least. I started in MH1 and had played every game since, but I was never a fan of the 3DS so it took me a while to finally get a chance to play it, by then Generations was already on the horizon. I had a really good time, but unlike most other games I never really had any standout or memorable experiences, perhaps because for the first time in an online MH there wasn't a hunting 'town'. That being said, music like this makes me so nostalgic... even if I can't remember why. Cheers to those who remember this game. Even if I can't remember it too well, what I do recall only fills me with a sort of blissfull nameless joy that can only come from Monster Hunter, so I'm glad I played it even if it was only a little ^^
Monster hunter do is part of our lives, and I’m proud of that. This series are a treat, the series evolve throughout we as persons evolve, and I think that is the magic, every and each game has it meaning for everyone that played it.

Best Battle Themes: 3 Best Village Themes: 4 That is not without saying that each of their respective counterpoints are bad, I love Moga Village even better than most of the village themes here, while there are a lot of really good battle themes in 4 as well. But when it comes to the overall experience and quality, Val Habar, Cathar and Dundorma are so good. But then Deserted Island, Tundra and Volcano in 3 are sick as well. Generations has a little bit for everyone, so that goes without saying.

To my knowledge it isn't possible to legitimately play online, since the 3DS services were shut down
