  • Day 3 of the West Highland Way greets us with the tranquil beauty of Loch Lomond's shores, making it difficult to leave the peaceful serenity of Rowchoish. Despite the temptation to linger, I embark on what proves to be the shortest yet most challenging leg of our journey, spanning a mere 7.3 miles.
Passing by the inviting facade of the Inversnaid Hotel, I brace myself for the arduous path that lies ahead at the North end of the Loch. The rugged terrain presents obstacles that test my endurance and resolve, but the camaraderie of fellow hikers keeps spirits high as we navigate the trail together.
With each step, time seems to slip away unnoticed, and before we know it, I find myself arriving at Beinglas Campsite. Nestled amidst the natural splendour of the Highlands, the campsite offers a welcome respite, complete with all the necessary facilities to rejuvenate weary bodies and souls.
As the day draws to a close, I reflect on the challenges overcome and the bonds forged along the way, grateful for the opportunity to experience the raw beauty and camaraderie of the West Highland Way.

I’m starting the WHW on Thurs for the first time. Thanks so much for your videos, they are by far the best I’ve seen particularly for seeing what walking the trail is really like. Thanks again, much appreciated! (ps: have booked Beinglas)

Really enjoying this series thank you! Was the loch a wild camping spot or in the permit zone?

Hi, Glad you're enjoying the series. The wild camping spot was on the low road past Rowardennan which is out of the no camping zone. Check out my high road and low road vlog. It has a bunch of info on that section. Thanks for watching. G ♥️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
