  • Day 2 of the West Highland Way begins early and with clear skies above, I skip Drymen and set off towards Gardabhan Forest. The tranquil forest envelops me as I trek onwards, the scent of pine filling the air and sunlight filtering through the canopy above.
The path leads me to the breathtaking viewpoint atop Conic Hill, where panoramic vistas of Loch Lomond and its surrounding peaks unfold before me. Descending along newly laid paths, I arrive in Balmaha, where the invitingambiance of Weirs Rest beckons me to pause for a leisurely lunch by the tranquil shores of Loch Lomond.
After giving my feet a well-deserved break, I resume my journey, meandering through enchanting woodlands that line the shores of the loch. The undulating terrain offers glimpses of sparkling water through the trees, captivating us with its natural beauty.
As I reach Rowardennan, I refuel for the final stretch ahead, replenishing my energy for the journey beyond the designated camping zone. With determination in my heart, I press on towards my ultimate destination, just minutes away from the Rowchoish Bothy, eager to embrace the adventures that lie ahead.

Please don't apologies for saying "we" rather than "I" when talking to the camera, as it makes it feel like we're all on the journey with you
