I'm so happy you have 3 islands to explore! You really landed in one of the only places you could. That's great! I'm so happy for y'all. Your doing what the Caribbean is known for. A wonderful sail is great...bet you were getting tired of being in one place after 2 months. The couple weeks after a month at sea was probably great but the sailor in us gets the itching to move on. We don''t choose this life to stay in the same place...We are vagabonds who enjoy the change of scenery. Soon, when my boat is ready I'm going to have to start looking in to what islands are open. I'm hoping this will be all behind us by than. Where I'm living we have pretty much got back to normal. Keep living the dream!

@@SailingKittiwake every time I see someone pulling a dirty chain up I think there should be a high-pressure pump and a nozzle pointing at the chain as it comes up. Blast it all with seawater as it comes up.
Then I see that lots of newer yachts actually have this as standard. Its something easily made though...

Chers amis: la vidéo était magnifique et je vous en remercie. Each time i watch twice or three times your videos, i watch the background, the sound of the sea, the color of the sky and translucent water. This time, i noticed the clothes pin. It represents the every day life you two, a life you have chosen without pretense and without ostentatious speech. Nice metaphor Ryan, your bike riding skills aren't rusty at all and Elena's as well. cheers

Brilliant as always. You reminded me of the first sail of each season when you try to remember how to make sure everything is working as it should. I also empathised with that wonderful feeling when the yacht creams through the water at speed. It’s a magic moment.
I guess you will need to take Skua out of the water soon, judging by the growth on the anchor chain.
As always I wish you fair winds tides and currents.

Ryan, you made it through with the installation of the new flexible impellers pump and you mentioned you couldn't find anything online to help you out with the disassembly. The book "Marine Diesel Engines" by Nigel Calder covers that part with great detail and some schematics, so I guess, this would have been a great help to you. Since you've done it, maybe it will be helpful for others...

But , as Marc Lawyer said, " some nasties " live in shells, and just under the sand. And one I found out about just last year from " the old sea dog ". There is a tree on some of the islands and the mainland down that way, Pacific side also, the " sap " not just the fruit , will kill you. do some research on it and let the rest of us know. Have a blast and stay healthy.

Sailing Kittiwake , I hope you will enjoy yourselves and you have a ton of places yet to see. Please be very very mindful of weather systems developing in the Atlantic because it’s hurricane season. Have an exit plan at the ready in case you need to run from some impending storms. Usually you will have a few days warning to try to get out of the way. Coming to you from Panama City Florida and will try to send you guys a heads up if I see something you want to be concerned about.

They are well produced a nice mixture between the technical stuff and the sailing stuff you do not come of as entitled brats living on a trust fund or boat experts who know everything no clickbait no scantily clad bikini babes no fakery in short an authentic entertaining channel.
