Hi my friends! Today's practice is a big request - something short, simple and easy to follow. Something that you can wind down with. How do you feel after taking 12 minutes to relax your body?
Thanks, I'm dealing with the flu and my body can do much, but the breathing helps to clean my stuffy nose. I love to watch the video anyways, is like I'm still there with you guys! NAMASTE
Yay! Everytime a shorter video comes out I can't wait to do them. They are perfect for the day when I work and haven't got much time. Your videos have helped me so much with my mental health and physical health. I hope your channel keeps gaining more subscribers because the fwfg community is what the world needs 💛🖤💚
Yoga With Adriene Thank you!!! 🙏 Day 54 since starting the 30 Day challenge in January ‘19 and I’m feeling it...all over in my life I’m truly blessed by this home practice and teaching ❤️
as a 15 year old sophmore in high school, i find myself falling asleep at 1 or even 2 a.m., my mind scattered with random thoughts such as, “did i do all my work? what am i going to wear tomorrow? what hallway should i take to get to math?”. these prevent me from the important thoughts that i should be having before i finish the day; “am i happy? do i feel grounded? am i present with my mind and body?”. recently i’ve been forcing myself to lay on my floor and watch this video around 9 or 10 p.m. to calm myself and relax my brain. i also have gone to bed around 10 or 11 at the latest and wake up feeling fresher than ever. thank you for helping me become a better person, i feel like if i start doing this now, my future self will thank me so much, i appreciate your work and this yoga routine is amazing so thank you again!
omg same that is exactly what im doing. I have hours and hours of homework every night and work all day and before bed I take the time to do this to calm down and have a good rest. :)
Hi Anna, please make sure not to overwork yourself and carve out time in the day for yourself. Mental health is so important and things tend to work out at your age, so make sure to do something you love every day instead of being so concerned with your responsibilities, even if it’s just one hour a day!
Heya! I'd really recommend watching some videos about taking the choice out of your mornings and not leaving it to tomorrow morning's brain. Such as packing your bag, laying out your clothes, preparing breakfast etc. the night before school. If you get into the habit of reducing how much you have to THINK about it later by spending just 10 mins the night before, you can start your days in a much more streamlined and peaceful way! You can even put toothpaste on your toothbrush for tomorrow morning 🤣 good luck with your studies and take care of yourself!
I haven't practiced in a while but there's something to be said about the way that yoga just allows you to show up as you are. Here I am, messy hair, messy room, yet grounded and stable and worthy of honoring myself and what my body needs. Coming back to yoga after a while just feels like a nice hug. Your practice just meets you where you are. Nothing more. Nothing less. It is one of the most radical forms of self love I have ever experienced and I'm so grateful for it's presence in my life. And grateful to Adriene for making it so accessible! I hope whoever is reading this, wherever you are, that you are able to find some peace today, like I did, practicing here in the early AM. Sending love 💜
It’s going to be “our” 10 year anniversary this month. And after 10 years of regular yoga practice, you are still one of my favorite teachers - online or offline, paid or free from all I’ve ever been ❤🎉
My doctor asked me to try regular yoga as I have severe anxiety among other things, and haven't been able to go to school for around 7 months. He said that he does yoga too and watches your videos. And at first I was skeptical but it's honestly helped me more than I thought. I love doing my yoga session every night and your videos always cheer me up and help me relax, thank you for what you do. ❤️
Katrina Mercedes. Just thought I’d say I started doing the yoga thing around a year ago and it’s the best thing I have ever done, but while I find it very beneficial during the day, try it first thing, Adrienne does a video of an early morning ‘wakie wakie’ practice! I find Adrienne’s pace just right. But then I’m an ‘old fart’
I just did this for the second time and feel a million bucks compared to when I landed on the mat. Much more relaxed for bed ❤️ Katrina Mercedes Adrienne has a five minute quick stress fix (I love this one, was my go to for a long time when I just didn't feel I had time or space for more) and even one for couch potatoes!
I teared up at the hug I gave myself during the video, and had a little cry after I was finished. It felt like such an act of self love and I realised how unkind I've been to myself today. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
i didnt feel my body all day, often i dont realise that this is my body and this is me etc especially when i talk with other people and i am not at home, often i lose touch with myself, and now at the end of the day i had to hug myself and i realised that i am the person that i go through everything with (if that makes sense) and i started crying as well
I feel this. There is something so beautiful about acts of self-love and self-care. Like...that I can do that for myself. Thank you for this, adriene. Making space for myself, welcoming the body gently.
Hugging my knees up to my chest has never been accessible to me, I have big boobs and short legs, it's just hard. I've always just held on for dear life hoping one day it might just work. Today instead I asked myself "what good is this doing for me?" and instead I stopped the struggle and gave myself a big hug across the chest because really that's all we're trying to do. Give ourselves a hug. What good does struggling do me? None at all. Thank you Adriene for always reminding me why we do yoga. Not to get into a shape, but to feel good 💕
no natter how your body looks and whatever it 'can' and 'cant' do, you are enough and incredibly beautiful just the way you are. remember to be kind to yourself whenever you can
Me too! I’ve really struggled with getting my arms across my legs, it’s uncomfortable and they slip. Today I tried getting my arms behind my knees and it worked perfectly for me
Same! Sometimes I'll use a strap under my knees. When I was taking in-person classes, we did a thing once as if we were going to do legs up the wall, and then brought knees to chest with the soles of our feet on the wall, which made me realize how much I had been struggling with the posture and how shameful that struggle felt. I think you're right to just ask, what is the purpose of this pose (sometimes for me it's a low back release), and how else can I achieve that purpose?
My dog command joined me, too. So when I saw Adriene work a pat for Benji into the routine, and my dog put his paw onto my hand in the supine twist, I patted him and held his paw.....so good to share relaxation with a furry friend
Adriene, I want to thank you for the phrase 'if this isn't available to you'. I will admit that at first I was a bit eyerolly at it, but I've come to realise that this is due to my own judgement of my body and its value. Whilst I thought it was initially mildly patronising to be so avoiding the phrase 'if you can't do this', I'm now really understanding how unnecessary it is to bring negativity by reminding myself I can't do something during yoga. It adds judgement to my body whilst I'm trying to appreciate and relish it. So yes, some movements aren't available to me, and thank you for giving the words to acknowledge that without me describing it as a personal flaw. Those change of words represent a change of how I am viewing myself.
As a person who experience suicidel thoughts and self harm thoughts this yoga monthly practice really helps me to be the observer of the thoughts and also talk to myself kindly and try to love myself and care for myself, today I cried for the whole sequence. Thank you Adriene for free content and such a good therapeutic way of teaching yoga💜🥺 Burrito of love❤️
I agree. Adriene, you do have such a self loving and caring attitude in your video. Also I loved the encouragement to go at your own pace and not push too far. @TheGanjuri I hope you’ve been able to keep her message in your life and that you are doing well.
Today is February 5 2024. I decided to swap today's practice with this wind down practice because my body has been asking for a break after FLOW. Thank you Adriene for everything that you give to the world. I feel so strong and deep breaths feel more easily accessible since I started this journey. 💜
I am now on 62 days straight of Yoga with Adriene. My gratitude knows no bounds. There is physical and mental healing happening from old traumas. If I feel I need a break for a day I still make sure to do my bedtime yoga just to get on the mat and keep my commitment to myself. Thank you for all that you do and for healing the world with your gift! ❤️
Blessed Beloved Beauties! Admire Day - 8 is refreshing. It's always delightful to practice this session especially after meditation.🧘🏿 Now, it's time to shift gears to a Kemetic Yoga practice and eventually a morning run 🏃🏿 and weight training. 💪🏿 Best wishes, everyone! 🦋❤️🦋
Admire💝 - February 2024 Wind down yoga🌙 I admire myself for taking time to tend to my sou at the end of another beautiful day. Enjoyed this practice in my bed, just before sleep which was a first for me! Feeling very relaxed and cleansed of the day, ready to melt into a deep and restorative slumber. Benji perfectly represented how I felt throughout this practice! He was my mirror for this evening🥰❤️. I have returned back to my inner being with a loving kindness that will now support me as I drift off. Goodnight all and namaste🙏💟✨🌚 xx
Thank you so much for your videos. I have Borderline Personality Disorder and no medication or CBT works for me, so I was prescribed meditation and yoga by my therapist to deal with my emotions. You're the reason I can now start and end my day the right way, and can keep myself grounded throughout the day. You've helped me achieve something that the multiple antidepressants my body rejected couldn't. Thank you so much. Namaste, from an Indian who's proud that everyone around the world are embracing our culture.
Day 8 of Admire ❤ I am glad I saved this one until I was ok to do it. This was so good to do after a day if upset stomach and sickness. I followed along with the breathes and sent healing to stomach. I hate that I could not do the movements however I am proud I showed up and breathed. Thank you for this beautiful playlist! ❤
Admire Day 07:02:24✅ Sooooo simple and sooooo relaxing. esp when stressed. This is going to be my favourite bedtime wind down yoga...Glad it's for Admire Day 7🌟...at some point I felt like a little child easing and breathing nicely in the child pose at the end....just chilling🥰😌😌 there...thank you, thank you Adriene 😌💞💞 and take care too... Namaste everyone ☮️💗🙏🏾
I’ve decided to go on a little self love journey during quarantine. I’ve been struggling with depression and anxiety for years, but it’s been much worse recently. I love the video, it was a great start for me. My dog joined in as well. 💕
Hi Allyson! Hope you're doing well :) From a fellow anxiety and depression warrior, I am also on a journey and it is really encouraging to see other people like me. I wish you the best of luck on your journey💕
*Not forcing anything on you* . But I strongly recommend prayer. Not only from my experience, but billions of people out there who have experienced the unexplainable unworldly power, love, grace, comfort, joy and peace of God in our lives. I remember when I had my first panic attack, a soothing voice (mind you, I felt like I was going to die, almost hopeless, but I had God and called out to him) and he told me “be still and know that I am God” . It didn’t immediately stop my anxiety cause I wasn’t fully trusting in him, but it’s a powerful verse and sentiment that calms my anxiety like nothing else to this day. Prayer is real, prayer is powerful. It wouldn’t hurt to try :) but regardless of what you choose, I love you, God loves you, and I’ll be praying for you Allyson ❤️
@@brochacho8156 it's quite problematic to say something like a spiritual practice "didn’t immediately stop my anxiety cause I wasn’t fully trusting in him" while telling a story to someone (especially someone who's struggling with anxiety), as it puts the blame on the person for having anxiety because "they weren't trusting enough" in God... As someone who was in ministry for years and witnessed the way so many Christians unknowingly or knowingly use spiritual manipulation to gaslight people into shaming themselves for having mental illness when in fact it is an illness and there is NOTHING that person did to deserve it, I highly recommend thinking a bit more before you post. (and putting a disclaimer like "Not forcing anything on you" before your comment does not take away from the level of manipulation that is presented later in your post! do better!)
@@girlsoanxious no no no, that’s not what I’m saying at all. I was just trying to offer her peace in Christ. I wasn’t gaslighting at all, I was just referring to my own situation. How was I manipulating? And since you’re a Christian, I would have assumed you would appreciate someone trying to spread the love of Christ, though I may have worded it imperfectly? And I put the disclaimer because I’ve been cussed out for “shoving religion” down people’s throats just by simply sharing an encouraging bible verses about love. Ah I’m crying and frustrated now, I really meant no harm. Are you a christian?
I’m a chef and after every shift (about 8-12 hours long) I come home and first thing I do is this 12 minutes yoga. Thank you Adriene for this massive help. You are helping in so many way that are hard to count ❤️ love you!! 🪂
Another perfect practice two days after eye surgery. I can’t see very well, but Adriene’s sweet voice guided me through the poses. I will do this one again tonight. Thanks for 10 minutes of bliss.
It was one of those days. One of those days where I just felt sick and exhausted and was trying to find excuses to not come to the mat. I made it to the mat. And I'm so glad I did.
I honestly needed this practice before bed, after a long hard day. It's so soothing to my nerves and entire body. I'm now ready for a good night's rest. Thanks very much Adriene. ❤❤❤❤
This is so very calming especially now during the covid-19 outbreak. Truly appreciate you helping me relax, so I can have a good nights rest, and be the best person, wife, mother and person at work where I get to help others. Thank you. You’re a true blessing
I wanted to thank you for these routines. I have PTSD and severe anxiety. I have spent years waking nearly every night with panic attacks. I have been doing your routines the last week and I am sleeping better less panic attacks. I feel so much better about myself and I lost 4 pound this week. Your voice is so calming and soothing that I can actually relax without panicking hearing a strange voice in my ear. I usually can't close my eyes with a voice in the room without feeling unsafe. Thank you so much you are a true angel and you have helped so many people with their mental health and physical wellbeing.
Day 1/365! I've always wanted to challenge myself with this, and after a month long depressive slump that had me ignoring my practice, I'm glad I've chosen to believe in myself enough to do this. And I'm glad this warm hug of a video (and teacher!) was there for me. Thank you Adriene!
I just felt compelled to tell you how much I love and appreciate your channel. I've been doing my at home practice with you for 4 years now but never stopped to comment on anything. Long story short, thank you for all that you do! 💖
Here very early for bridge! It's 2AM my time and I can't sleep. I havent had anxious thoughts get to me like this in a while. I'm hoping I will be able to fall asleep soon since I'm heading outta town tomorrow. Love you all!!!
I've done this practice so many times, but tonight it impacted me more than ever before. I am a college student abroad for a year, and I haven't taken the time to do yoga and tend to my mind and body since getting here two months ago. I've worked out hard at the gym, traveled, and studied, but I have not been taking this necessary time for mindfulness within my own body. When I heard Adriene's voice I immediately felt at home and when she said to hug yourself however you specifically need, I melted. This practice is so important, and I need to remember to come back to it when feeling lost. Thank you Adriene
Hello there. I was diagnosed with a muscle wasting genetic illness eighteen months ago and have been attending a six week zoom course arranged through the hospital, meeting other people with neurological illnesses and learning from each other. On week 3 we looked at relaxation and sleep and I mentioned I always use this particular exercise last thing at night, as well as lots of various others of your exercises too. Another couple of people on the course said that they regularly used your exercises too! The leaders of the course, all employed by the hospital, asked for the links. So soon you may be recommended by top doctors at the UK NHS. Love your courses. Thank you so much. Leighton x
Thank you for this... just started doing yoga regularly after a heartbreaking life event. Yoga/meditation allows me to face my feelings head-on without fear, and I can make slow incremental progress in moving forward with my life.
I hope you are healing. It takes a lot to be that honest about how you feel, but it's healthy and a part of the grieving/healing process. Love and light to you!
UNION ♾ | November 24, 2023 | It's been a while since we had the pleasure of winding down with Adriene and this practice. I didn't do this at bedtime today, but it is a day off so it was still the perfect segue to slowing down and relaxing for the rest of my day! 🙏
I got teary eyed during the "hug yourself" part because it has been soooo long since I've had a hug (human or otherwise) because of these "unusual" times we're living in. I'm thankful that I can be there for myself when no one else is. It is part of learning self appreciation and self care. Thank you Adriene!
I know this comment was made a while ago, but it really touched me. Hope you're getting more hugs, because we really all need more. just in case, also sending you a virtual hug :)
Hi Adriene- I have been doing your great workouts for about 3 weeks now- I had such incredible back pain, and your workouts (combined with p/t and heating pad) have helped so much. Thank you!! Happy 2024!
did this one today, rather than the longer Sunday suggestion on the February 2024 flow calendar, as I needed something that more matched my body energy today. I'm glad I showed up
Thanks Adriene (and Benji) for your videos! I'm having a few weeks of the worst depression I've been in in a very long time and your videos before bed help me sleep at night in a way that helps me restart to do everything else! I really appreciate you and your work, it means a lot.
I dont know if I've commented on this one before, but it's my favorite video. I must have been watching it for years now. It's crazy how much this short practice can make me feel better after not being able to get out of the house or do much all day. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. ❤
I usually practice in the morning, but when I saw this practice on the calendar for today I decided it was the perfect opportunity to adjust my schedule (which is something very out of my comfort zone) and practice before bed. I am here to say I did not find an excuse not to show up to the mat, but I in fact did complete the practice and can now happily say I have done 42 consecutive days of YWA! Thanks for another wonderful practice Adriene, sleep tight everyone! See you tomorrow! 💜
This Renew month is really helping ease my anxiety about the UK coming out of lockdown (while also helping me destress as I finish my dissertation) - thank you Adriene, and hello anyone else doing Renew!
I'm stuck at home feeling crappy with COVID right now, so as I'm continuing to work through the April "Renew" calendar, I was so thankful that today's practice was a short, relaxing one with lots of floor work. Thanks for all you do YWA team!
i firmly believe that benji is the most zen creature to have ever walked this earth. Just look at 00:12 such a relaxed dude, honestly it really adds the already amazingly chill vibe of your videos
I`m just starting yoga and was finding it hard to find something that wasn`t too hard on the lower back and this is perfect i feel so much better after doing this the past 4 days bless you this is my new daily
I've struggled with insomnia for over a decade. This past week has been really hard to switch off and stay asleep in this massive heatwave. Added with hypermobile joints flaring up in hot weather just made sleep impossible. But I tried this yoga session in the week and has been wonderful have been feeling more sleepy afterwards and got good deep sleep even doing six hours in a go without waking up which for me is brilliant. A fantastic video that's been really helping manage insomnia and reduce joint pain so thank you x
I've never been one for yoga. I understand it, but in my experience as an artist and student who does a lot of physicality workshops, the yoga I've done ends up putting me on the verge of a panic attack; meditation gives me anxiety and I always assumed it just wasn't for me. Then plague and online music school happened and tonight I just felt like this was necessary. This is the first time I have enjoyed yoga in probably 7 years. Thank you for sharing this resource in such an accessible, gentle, clear way. I plan on returning regularly after this whenever I feel like I need to reconnect with myself.
@@mr.peaceroamer3635 sometimes it makes me feel too insular. I've dealt with anxiety my whole life and sometimes when I meditate I get a kind of sensory overload, where any little sensation or sound can make me feel awful. something about sitting still feels wrong to me and I cant help it

I left this to do before bedtime, so glad I did. I paused in shavasana for some time and some positive affirmations. Thank you for all the tools you've given me! i am once again reminded of the power of the mind and the power of yoga. This shifted my perspective :) I feel grateful. I feel loved. I send love our way, Namaste ☀️
day 2 of my yoga journey 🌿 just did this practice before going to bed and now I'm definitely relaxed and calm. I'm wishing everyone a good night's rest 💓
Still here for ADMIRE Feb. 2024! Switched day 19 for this practice because it was a crazy busy day and it's late already. So grateful to Adriene, Benji, the whole team and the community for these daily gems.
Thank you so much for this. I’ve been a follower for about 4 years and have loved your channel. My husband and I use your practices so regularly and I realized today I’ve probably never commented to just say “thank you”. Your content has been a powerful tool in our lives. Love.
Thankyou, Adriene, for this gentle practice. I decided to do this video today for Day 2 of Expand July 2023 as I'm not feeling too good... but I still wanted to do something. This was perfect for me tonight. Thankyou again xxx
Adriene, this is my morning yoga ! So I started with quickie Yoga For The Hips and followed with this sleepy session. At least I got a good stretch but then felt like going back to sleep 😴 sleep 💤 pure self indulgence ! See you tomorrow for something more active Day 13 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️🙏💕💤
@@gillsmith6740 💚🙏🏻 ☘️ I’m so glad there are different kinds of meds to try. I’m thinking of trying ketamine infusions for the migraines/depression. Do you have that in the UK? Chapter 2: 😉 if I’m sending you a message, I have no complaints. I love this 12 min wind down!

I don’t do this evening yoga enough, but when I do it right before bed I feel so relaxed. Adrienne’s manner and voice are soothing as well. Love her videos!
Hello, Adriene. I come from Kazakhstan. And I hope you realize how much your work and effort matters. On Monday I finished my 30 days yoga challenge and yesterday I didn't do anything at all. Today I felt like I really need to come back to your videos because something is definitely missing. You are an amazing person and everything you do for us is just so incredible that I have no words to express myself. Thank you for always being here. Namaste.

I did a 200 hour yoga teacher training a number of years ago, and then my practice disappeared and I stopped teaching. It felt really good to get back onto the mat and I'm looking forward to my next session. Thank you Adrienne for helping me get back to this wonderful practice!

i didnt feel my body all day, often i dont realise that this is my body and this is me etc especially when i talk with other people and i am not at home, often i lose touch with myself, and now at the end of the day i had to hug myself and i realised that i am the person that i go through everything with (if that makes sense) and i started crying as well

Not to get into a shape, but to feel good 💕
Alexsheena same! Thanks for the perspective.
no natter how your body looks and whatever it 'can' and 'cant' do, you are enough and incredibly beautiful just the way you are. remember to be kind to yourself whenever you can
So proud of you💕
When Benji lay across Adriene's leg, I had to stop moving to watch and soak up the feeling of utter trust and peace it elicited from me. Thank you.
My dog command joined me, too. So when I saw Adriene work a pat for Benji into the routine, and my dog put his paw onto my hand in the supine twist, I patted him and held his paw.....so good to share relaxation with a furry friend
Is she blind?
@@iniciantepadawan6542 Adriene is fully sighted to the best of my knowledge. Benji is a VERY well trained regular dog.

Yes, at 4:48. 😀
Just started yoga a few weeks ago... you are the Bob Ross of yoga, very chill , thank you

As a person who experience suicidel thoughts and self harm thoughts this yoga monthly practice really helps me to be the observer of the thoughts and also talk to myself kindly and try to love myself and care for myself, today I cried for the whole sequence. I agree. Adriene, you do have such a self loving and caring attitude in your video. Also I loved the encouragement to go at your own pace and not push too far. @TheGanjuri I hope you’ve been able to keep her message in your life and that you are doing well.

@TheGanjuri I hope you are doing well. You are not alone. My best wishes for you. I will keep you in my prayers.
Today is February 5 2024. I decided to swap today's practice with this wind down practice because my body has been asking for a break after FLOW. Thank you Adriene for everything that you give to the world. I feel so strong and deep breaths feel more easily accessible since I started this journey. 💜
my body has created a pavlovian response to your intro...
i just start relaxing immediately.
and the outro just helps me be relaxed after
Same here I love it! ♡
Oh my, when I twisted, I don’t think I’ve ever heard my back make a louder crack. Felt amazing.

Wind down yoga🌙
I admire myself for taking time to tend to my sou at the end of another beautiful day.
Admire day 8, done my practice a bit later today with this being a wind-down, thank you Adriene for this, the perfect way to end the day. 💖🧘🏼♀️🙏

I’ve decided to go on a little self love journey during quarantine. I’ve been struggling with depression and anxiety for years, but it’s been much worse recently. I love the video, it was a great start for me. My dog joined in as well. 💕
Hi Allyson! Hope you're doing well :)
From a fellow anxiety and depression warrior, I am also on a journey and it is really encouraging to see other people like me.
Are you a christian?
hey i hope you're doing better! it's so good that you're working to take care of yourself, i know it's hard but i believe in you 💕

I hope you are doing better Carla, sending you love

Day 1/365!
I've always wanted to challenge myself with this, and after a month long depressive slump that had me ignoring my practice, I'm glad I've chosen to believe in myself enough to do this.
And I'm glad this warm hug of a video (and teacher!) was there for me. Thank you Adriene!
Sooo sweet how your dog just got comfortable resting his head on your leg! What a sweetheart. Thanks for this relaxing video 👍
I just felt compelled to tell you how much I love and appreciate your channel. I've been doing my at home practice with you for 4 years now but never stopped to comment on anything. Long story short, thank you for all that you do! 💖
6 months later I feel compelled to say the same thing!!
@Ahmad Sheikh-Ali 3 months later I would like to third that!
Here very early for bridge! It's 2AM my time and I can't sleep. I havent had anxious thoughts get to me like this in a while. I'm hoping I will be able to fall asleep soon since I'm heading outta town tomorrow. Love you all!!!
I hope you were able to fall back asleep. 😊 Night-time anxiety is the worst.
Thank you Adriene 🌷

I really needed this tonight. It's been a stressful week. Thank you xx
I love Adriennes yoga for evening and bedtime yoga and the wind down yoga. They are so relaxing and soothing.
Leighton x
I always find myself returning to this video. Perfect for when it's late at night and I haven't practiced yet. Namaste! Good night!
A relaxing practice. Thank you.

How meditation gives you anxiety,Annie?
@@mr.peaceroamer3635 sometimes it makes me feel too insular. I've dealt with anxiety my whole life and sometimes when I meditate I get a kind of sensory overload, where any little sensation or sound can make me feel awful. something about sitting still feels wrong to me and I cant help it
