I really appreciate your comments on what back seat gaming is and how you should communicate calmly and respectfully to your teammates. Some of the worst things is a 10 year old Reyna or Yoru who over uses comms and just tells you what you should do. The overuse of comms during a clutch situation is the worst as well because it’s so distracting and rarely helpful.
Whoever's reading this, i pray that whatever you're going through gets better and whatever you're struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
I really don't have anything that much important to say, but I just wanted to leave a note of appreciation here. Thanks for making great content, and actually teaching useful stuf instead of the recyled info of other "improvement tips" channels.
Ok, I do all of these tips. I was wondering what I was doing wrong(I was kicked off a team because I wasn’t a good enough IGL). I think the owner was expecting me to micromanage the entire team and that’s just not something anyone can do while playing well. A tip I have for anyone in a team right now, don’t play for someone that doesn’t respect you, it never works out
I also reccomend (as an igl) that you have a conversation with your team in which you ask what they expect from you as an IGL and it’ll help quite a lot with making sure you aren’t overcomming or backseating.
Thanks a lot, now I won’t be afraid of calling the “igl” a backseat gamer. Man I hate when that happens, I loose all the concentration. I actually think that alone might be the reason why I perform better when I solo in ranked.
Somehow I'm able to focus on my play and information more when I dont speak, so I like to stay quiet and use text chat unless in some emergency situation. Telling your team your plan in text chat in pre-round helps a lots.
i really like to give tips even though I'm not the best at times, and I'm always told to stop backseating. I think its because i use chat so its hard to tell if I'm being rude or just chilling (i lost my wireless microphone USB so i cannot use it is why i have no mic) This helped me though, thanks :)
Well, I usually play in JP server and people are really quiet for some reason. I'm relatively new to the game but somehow I'm the only person who is willing to make comms. People are really nice in JP server and they will follow your call once you make one. Besides, they always say nt and nc after each round, but that's basically all the comms we have. Maybe it's because I'm speaking English and they don't have the confidence to communicate in English, but I don't really care about their English levels since I'm not a native speaker either. I just wish we can have more communication during the match.
If you live in Asia and you can only speak English, I highly recommend you play in HK server. Ping may be a bit higher depending on your location but they will com in English. HK server has a very diff playstyle compared to JP tho, HK players are a bit more hot-headed and very fast tempo-wise. Good luck!
I am hovering between gold 2 and plat, i have carpal tunnel syndrome so my hands are fucked. I know for a fact that the only thing keeping me competitive in my current rank is my game sense as i have played in diamond lobbies a few episodes ago. I want to be able to igl my group of friends as i am playing with people from bronze 1 to silver 3. I know my aim will never get better, best thing i can offer them is my awareness of the game. I am hoping this video's points help me get better at that.
Hello Sena, first I want to thank you for this video, I think I´ll try this out in my next ranked. My question is, is it ok to spray? I mean I´m not spraying for a while now, but some times its good and some times not. So I´m pretty unsure if I should spray or not...
So im in gold and often ik my teamates are making a bad play and their gonna die because of the play and they do. But i never tell them they shouldnt do it because i dont want to annoy people. What should i do?
If they do it twice try just commenting about it without sounding rude, and also suggest them what you think would be better. If they don't follow it just don't stress it, and let them die for no reason. It's from mistakes that you learn afterall.
this is gonna be a long paragraph so just bare with me i climbed from iron to plat 2 so far (540 hours in comp), are my teammates holding back? yes. is nobody going to step up as an igl? yes. most the people on my friends list are still on the depth of bronze/silver by the time i type this vid but when you see these videos dont just expect to hop in a game and have everyone listens to you just because you "stepped up and take the igl role for yourself". people on the lower elo (i feel this mostly on gold / silver) has this ego where if they're top fragging they wont listen to anything that the team says. so to back up your doing your igl stuff make sure to set an example to your teammate that you are the one to lead by landing frags, clean utils, etc etc (depends on your role) just show ur team that you know what you're doing so they actually listen to your calls. there will also be times where there's that one guy that tilt queues into your game and starts griefing, you gotta handle those things by either calming them down or just convicing the rest of the team to mute the tilt queue guy. climbing the lower elo is a big hassle if you're not mechanically gifted like me so just being a "good igl/shotcaller" wont cut it. in lower elo its better to have every aspect of the game (gamesense, aim, movement, comms etc) at an "average" level than maxing out on one stat (e.g. aim) because at the end of the day, val is a team game and the first step of winning (or having a good game) in val is gaining your random teammates's trust im by all means no pro im just some random dude who recently got into plat but that long paragraph is my summary of my experience in climbing the valorant ranks, i hope it gives you some kind of insight on how i did it at least...

Hey Sena,
I wanted to ask u if u could consider, making a video with ur gameplay
This is gonna be a huge advantage when I'm able to remember that stuff, thanks a lot, Sena! You deserve more attention, keep up the great work! ♥
Thank you! That really goes a long ways :) ♥
Glad you took my suggestion! This is a great video and is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Sena!

Exactly what I needed as the IGl for my esports team. Thank you so much!

Your videos have been so useful thanks so much ❤❤❤
As someone who doesn't speak in ranked, my best way of comming is through text chat. And it is VERY HARD to have to IGL with text chat.
Somehow I'm able to focus on my play and information more when I dont speak, so I like to stay quiet and use text chat unless in some emergency situation. Telling your team your plan in text chat in pre-round helps a lots.

another amazing vid ♥♥
Thank you! ♥♥
I see that you can make videos on your gameplay with notes to know what's going on your mind during your ranked games
exactly why sena is amazing

holy jesus i didn't even know good comms existed at this point
Sena diff. Great vid! Can we have a vid abt gamesense and in the head of your gameplay?
Might do some vod review types videos soon :D
@@SenaVL bett!! Love the vids can’t wait
Me igling every game that one 0-12 reyna instalock telling me to shut up
i try to igl in games and this video helped me out a lot
I gave my team a strat and they didn’t do it and called me trash when I called them out on it
Hello Sena, first I want to thank you for this video, I think I´ll try this out in my next ranked. My question is, is it ok to spray? I mean I´m not spraying for a while now, but some times its good and some times not. So I´m pretty unsure if I should spray or not...
2:40, look at the gameplay, I didn't know about that!
Im in gold and some of my teamates still com spike has been planted AFTER the callout by the game😂, they dont even call which site
I didn't even know I've been igl-ing lmao and sometimes people dont trust my comms. It's funny watching them die cuz they didn't listen.
in lower elo, nobody comms and nobody listens to you. what can you do if that happens
In lower elo all u really need to do is out aim eveyone. Igling barely starts being used in diamond and ascendant
10 mins late to first comment during school
What do i do when my team that wants me as the IGL dont care about my calls in 3/5 times
whats the crosshair code for the one you are using in the video?
This is not a video for me. I got social anxiety irl
What is your crosshair code??
So im in gold and often ik my teamates are making a bad play and their gonna die because of the play and they do. But i never tell them they shouldnt do it because i dont want to annoy people. What should i do?

Do you also use N0teds crosshair imo its aimbot
This mans aim makes me bust
