The amount of times people just watch or do nothing while their entry is going into a site is surprising. Most definitely! Many players fall into this natural baiting habit but don’t even realize it. Hopefully this attack guide makes it more clear on why you need to be confident when entering, and also not being afraid to die when entering a site if your teammates are ready to trade you out. 1:19 The mini map has always helped me see enemy's easily and rotate to sites when defending faster especially if you make it bigger which is a feature in the settings
True not that easy to get everyone to coordinate. One idea is to be mindful of when your teammates are using their utility or notice when they are pushing into the site. You need to be ready to support them and don’t hesitate to tell them what utility you will use. For example if I was Sova or skye and saw we were rushing a site, I would tell teammates to let me drone/dog in to site. And if there were rushing faster than I could use my drone/dog I would at least be ready to throw a dart/deep flash to support the push. You don’t always have to communicate, just be mindful of what your team is doing and have some sort of plan before the round starts.

So, I played some during beta, but not enough go even get to be able to play ranked. So I'm basically a noob. These attack and defense videos are probably some of the better valorant videos I've seen and don't just rehash the same 5 or 10 generic tips every other video has. I'm glad you started posting again thebpast few days hope to see more of your stuff

I just wouldn't recommend lurking in general if you're anything below ascendant, because for some reason every lurker I see, keeps repeating the same lurk over and over again. They get a kill the first time, but after that they keep dying and it just gives my team an easy win. If you don't understand the game to a great extent, or don't have some crazy gamesense, it might be better to just play with your team...
I agree with you lurking is not a great habit to develop for most new players. I think it is an inherent habit that people develop because they are not confident in straight aim duels and new players must focus on getting better at aim duels first.
Honestly, attacking in Valorant feels like a nightmare at times. Thank you for watching! Had a few delays making this video but tried getting it out as soon as I could for you guys.
I completely understand and even in higher elos you will face the same problem. However when you are in a team that will listen then make sure to communicate and coordinate as much as you can. And remember, fundamental skills for a good attacker is aim, crosshair placement, and mechanics. You don’t need as much coordination in lower elos because the defenders make risky plays/peeks often.

Thank you! I played on 1920 x 1080 but now I like playing in 1680 x 1050 more. I like the size of the crosshair. Personal preference tho you may not find it that helpful.
this sounds dumb, but idk how to use util. whenever i’m playing, i either don’t know how/when i should use it, or i play just fine without it. i don’t think i’m fully utilizing my agents abilities
Great question and again it depends on the scenario. Many times you can leave it on the ground towards the site you think you can take control of. Other times it can go with the mid player. The most important thing to keep in mind is that the person with the bomb does not die or else your default will fall apart. So if the guys die at mid then you are in a hard situation to recover from. At the very least never let the solo player have the bomb.
Honestly. Sometimes it feels like in a couple years it will be so hard for new people to get better at competitive gaming cause of how much people play/are getting good now.
@@DreamWellYT exactly, especially when almost every online game nowadays tries to be the next competitive serious game to be an esport. Players have to almost always give 110% of their focus in every single match to compete and not all of us have the time nor the energy to care. The only thing people are gonna gain from that level of tryharding is a virtual rank that will be rest after a certain time. Imagine even in my elo (bronze) you always have 1 guy dropping 40/7 while 2 people are 3/28. The game also doesn't helpe when it's "casual" modes still feel like shit, escalation has the weirdest gun orders, replication has people locking meta agents to always win like kayo, raze and sage , and deatchman spawns you infront of the same guy 3 times in a row. Riot doesn't know what casual fun is they just want the competitive players for this game and that's why they ll never be a short version of unrated. That's only Riot. The tryhard problem is present in any game, even as innocent as Fall guys you still find some people learning speedruns for each map in a chill game like this one.
100% agree and its hard to figure out a solution. I genuinely can not have fun in valorant without sweating even if it is unrated because most of the time everyone is trying. Not sure what will happen in the future because the entry skill barrier is only getting larger. Who knows how insanely competitive gaming will get even in 5 years.
If you start competing at something you need to train and invest time in improving, if you go for ranked games in any game you're competing for ranks or recognition or the challenge or whatever. So, yeah, anyone that goes into ranking should take it seriously at least out of respect of your teammates that also should be taking it seriously. If you're going for normal games then just have fun! I suggest playing with a full team of friends to prevent getting matched with tryhards or trolls. My group has a blast when we play casually even when losing, however at the same time when we rank we take it seriously to the point that some friends prefer not to rank and only join when we're playing normals. Just enjoy your time, no need to criticize something that isn't wrong.
Try IGLing and strat calling. Helps if you are top frag as well cause then you can tell everyone what to do and they usually won’t argue back. The real issue is coming up with a viable strat based of the previous rounds and the fact that you have 30 sec to come up with it. Tough but a skill you need to rank up.

hey I'm having a problem. I'm silver with a 23% hs percentage and all that blah blah blah. I barely spray because Valorant won't let my 80 ping ass spray. The thing is, I can take single gunfights and win quite consistently. But whenever I peek and I see a group of people together, for some reason my shot will not land on a single one of them. If I slow it down and try to take one out by aiming I'm going to get traded but if I burst at someone it's either going to miss or hit body. It's kinda of like my brain tells me to aim at the head level in between the 2 people and I end up killing no one. Any advice?
Personally I think your ping could be a big reason you are not able spray and get many kills. So I’d say avoid peeking multiple players. In general, peeking multiple players is a bad play unless you can chamber TP out or something. Also if you do want to peek make sure you have a flash player flash for you so that you can have more time to shoot them while they are blind. And if you know you are going to peek multiple players just prepare your crosshair for one specific angle and just focus on killing the target closest to that angle you chose. Again dry peeking multiple players not a good play and retaking with your team is probably a better idea. I hope this helped!

There's no way this would fly in silver. If I told my teammates to simply not make a noise,there's always a morron who jut rushes in and dies immidietly. Coincidently its always phoenix players
Even in an immortal lobby you will face similar problems. However, you will get games where people will communicate and its important to make the most of it by following what I said in this video. Now, when it comes to games where people are not talking or willing to work with each other, the best advice is try to be mindful of what your teammates are doing and try to play around them. For example, if you see your jet dash into the site, try to shoot your sova dart as fast as you can so that the jett can have a scan before she exits the smoke. If you notice that your team is not entering a site, don't just solo entry. It is obviously hard to do, but it is a habit you have to actively focus on every game. Likewise, paying attention to the minimap will help you a lot when your team is not talking too much.
@@DreamWellYT So since we are here. I'm an Omen main. Omen OTP you can even say since I'm not comfortable on any other agent other then Omen. That being said, almost every game, when we are attacking my duelist(s) actively refuse to enter the site,hell even asking reyna to flash for me so i can safely peak around the corner seems like an impossible task. A lot of the times I'm on entry fragging duty and it's basicly a coin flip, since I don't expected to be traded (and hardly ever am), but when we are defending, it always seems like the enemy team is more coordinated. They leave the smoke 3-4 at the time all of them looking at different corner of the site. I resort to be a lurker and I'm more then comfortable clutching the rounds, but how can I encourage my duelists to actually do their job instead of baiting others?
So since you like omen I highly recommend you watch Charla7an on RUclips, he has great guides for ranking up specifically with omen. It seems like you need to use omen to take complete control of the game. This means you need to learn how to do aggressive entries to open up the site and passive plays with him. Now when it comes to attacking, tell your teammates what areas you are going to smoke and when you will smoke them. Tell them to push out once your smokes are down (and say when your smokes are down as well). Now you can also tell to push out after you have thrown a blind for them. For example if you are on ascent and are attacking A, smoke door, heaven and blind generator while tell your team to push. Unfortunately this will not work if the defenders sage wall, molly, or smoke the a main choke because your teammates will sit infront of the smoke. So one thing you can say is "if sage walls it shoot the wall fast and rush", or "if brim smokes it still push through the smoke". Its important to make that call before the round starts, not during the round. Again in lower elos, you have to be getting high kills to rank up. So make sure you are aim training and doing death matches. On defense, maybe you are playing too passive and should try mixing things up by being aggressive some rounds or placing one way smokes so that attackers cant rush through them. I hope this helped!

Try IGLing and strat calling. Helps if you are top frag as well cause then you can tell everyone what to do and they usually won’t argue back. The real issue is coming up with a viable strat based of the previous rounds and the fact that you have 30 sec to come up with it. Tough but a skill you need to rank up.

hey I'm having a problem. I'm silver with a 23% hs percentage and all that blah blah blah. I barely spray because Valorant won't let my 80 ping ass spray. The thing is, I can take single gunfights and win quite consistently. But whenever I peek and I see a group of people together, for some reason my shot will not land on a single one of them. If I slow it down and try to take one out by aiming I'm going to get traded but if I burst at someone it's either going to miss or hit body. It's kinda of like my brain tells me to aim at the head level in between the 2 people and I end up killing no one. Any advice?
Personally I think your ping could be a big reason you are not able spray and get many kills. So I’d say avoid peeking multiple players. In general, peeking multiple players is a bad play unless you can chamber TP out or something. Also if you do want to peek make sure you have a flash player flash for you so that you can have more time to shoot them while they are blind. And if you know you are going to peek multiple players just prepare your crosshair for one specific angle and just focus on killing the target closest to that angle you chose. Again dry peeking multiple players not a good play and retaking with your team is probably a better idea. I hope this helped!

There's no way this would fly in silver. If I told my teammates to simply not make a noise,there's always a morron who jut rushes in and dies immidietly. Coincidently its always phoenix players
Even in an immortal lobby you will face similar problems. However, you will get games where people will communicate and its important to make the most of it by following what I said in this video. Now, when it comes to games where people are not talking or willing to work with each other, the best advice is try to be mindful of what your teammates are doing and try to play around them. For example, if you see your jet dash into the site, try to shoot your sova dart as fast as you can so that the jett can have a scan before she exits the smoke. If you notice that your team is not entering a site, don't just solo entry. It is obviously hard to do, but it is a habit you have to actively focus on every game. Likewise, paying attention to the minimap will help you a lot when your team is not talking too much.
@@DreamWellYT So since we are here. I'm an Omen main. Omen OTP you can even say since I'm not comfortable on any other agent other then Omen. That being said, almost every game, when we are attacking my duelist(s) actively refuse to enter the site,hell even asking reyna to flash for me so i can safely peak around the corner seems like an impossible task. A lot of the times I'm on entry fragging duty and it's basicly a coin flip, since I don't expected to be traded (and hardly ever am), but when we are defending, it always seems like the enemy team is more coordinated. They leave the smoke 3-4 at the time all of them looking at different corner of the site. I resort to be a lurker and I'm more then comfortable clutching the rounds, but how can I encourage my duelists to actually do their job instead of baiting others?
So since you like omen I highly recommend you watch Charla7an on RUclips, he has great guides for ranking up specifically with omen. It seems like you need to use omen to take complete control of the game. This means you need to learn how to do aggressive entries to open up the site and passive plays with him. Now when it comes to attacking, tell your teammates what areas you are going to smoke and when you will smoke them. Tell them to push out once your smokes are down (and say when your smokes are down as well). Now you can also tell to push out after you have thrown a blind for them. For example if you are on ascent and are attacking A, smoke door, heaven and blind generator while tell your team to push. Unfortunately this will not work if the defenders sage wall, molly, or smoke the a main choke because your teammates will sit infront of the smoke. So one thing you can say is "if sage walls it shoot the wall fast and rush", or "if brim smokes it still push through the smoke". Its important to make that call before the round starts, not during the round. Again in lower elos, you have to be getting high kills to rank up. So make sure you are aim training and doing death matches. On defense, maybe you are playing too passive and should try mixing things up by being aggressive some rounds or placing one way smokes so that attackers cant rush through them. I hope this helped!
