  • Personally the loudest thing I've ever heard.
    Details: RBMN 425, 4-6-2 light pacific locomotive built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in January 1928.

    I presume that consist is more than 425 could handle comfortably thus the diesel backup.

      your assumption would be correct. Steep grades on the Reading division require deisel backup for 425, especially with wet rails, which they were the day this was filmed
