Thank you. I received my UMC202HD today and connected it. I was surprised that only mono was coming through (but I'm also still a beginner in this topic). The issue has been resolved. Very helpful and straight to the point. Left a follow right away.
Music Tribe is a 3rd party that does the support for Behringer. I contacted this group and referred them to your tutorial. The individual that was assigned to deal with the concern, watched the video and contacted me by email to advise me there was an issue and have since referred the matter to the appropriate group (the team responsible for developing their driver software) at Behringer for further action.
I've been looking for a solution for this problem for quite some time, no one really had an answer. Anyone owning a Behringer needs to see this You-Tube video, it provides a quick solution to an aggravating problem. This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much. I've subscribed to your channel.
Thank you. I am rly happy that I could help. It is unbelievable that such a problem exists for years and there is still no solution... or hint that it would work with the old drivers... Hopefully everyone with this problem can get it fixed
Hi! Thank you for the video. I installed the old driver, I could change it to single channel in options, but I still can't hear "Direct Monitor" in both earbuds, which is the option I seek. I hear normally in different apps and such, but when I record (even without any software, just hearing back from the interface), I can only hear one input. Any fix to this?
I got this interface yesterday and I'm probably going to return it. It's been a waste of time troubleshooting it. I finally got my microphone working properly but when I restarted my computer I am having the issue described in this video so I am trying to fix. The windows volume control also doesn't work when plugged into the interface. 1% volume is the same as 100% volume. Another confirmed bug that hasn't been fixed. When restarting my computer it also seems to make a pop sound at like 100+ db into my headphones which will probably damage them. I won't be touching this brand again.
bro i was desperately trying to find a way to solve this problem and i click on this video and started tripping g because you have the same wallpaper as me hahahah
hellu, also deiner meinung nach, ist der 2.23.0 der beste driver? Habe mir einfach eins der interfaces bestellt, und jetzt erst gesehen, was es für probleme mit denen gibt. kannst du bitte nochmal deine meinung sagen?
Oh man I changed rca Jack's I changed settings I did usb swab. Omg I should've check this I didn't I was about to return it. My intuition told me check RUclips & Look wallah. My Ocd Was driving me nuts cause couldn't get it stereo in obs 😢😢😢 I'll check tomorrow's 😂😂😂 thank I could breathe again & get my stereo signal 👐🏻🙌🏻🙏✌🏻
I bought this audio interface today and I'm honestly a bit shocked that the direct monitor does not allow mono sound So I have to listen to my guitar in my left ear and to my voice in the right ear? This is fkin unusable, I've watched like 7 reviews before buying and none has ever ever mentioned that retarded design
Ya...having the same issue. I plug the guitar on left input and only left sound on the headphones. So far, no solution. The video states to change it to 1 channel, but, I don't even have that option, only 2-channel options are shown with latests drivers. This is a shit, since, I've just bought the new Steinberg IXO 12 and guitar plugins do not recognize it. Bought this 202HD and it works fine but you can only hear yourself in one side of headphones...I will have to return both units. Really, this is shit.@@potapich2
Quick question guys, I'm using a Laptop and I tried to record a choir using Samsung pencil mikes with a four channel u-phoria and I did not plug my speaker at the, cause I was just recording. But through my headphones and the noise level on the waves were just horrible, At first I thought maybe it was just the xlr cables but now I'm not sure Please Help 🇿🇦. Should I have maybe used a computer or the sound card can be used on a hp laptop too
Thank you for video. I had issue with only seeing 2 channel. Installed old driver and I was able to change to 1 channel but I am still not getting stereo. I am connecting 202 to a Mackey HM-4 amplifier. I get stereo on youtube videos but when I speak into audio technica mic headset I only hear left ear. Thoughts? Appreciate it! I do live streams of sporting events and my 2 announcers can only hear each other in one ear.
Hii.. When I speak/sing I can hear only left side in channel 1 and channel 2 right side... But after record while playing I can hear both sides... Why? Any solution to solve realtime monitoring??
@@kanizan Honestly, not the best audio interface to begin with. I'd go for the Focusrite, which tends to be a few dozen dollars more expensive, but is vastly superior in terms of drivers and audio quality.
@@JasonFilippou Yeah i know, i buyed it a few months ago wanting to try an audio interface, otherwise i got a mixing table but not a huge deal in a way as well :/

Music Tribe is the company that OWN'S the Behringer brand, not a 3rd party

Just here to say the newest driver (atleast for the UMC404HD finally brought this feature back :) really appreciated the work around though!
Incredibly clutch video. Thanks bro.
Now I can record video using my nice mic from the audio interface and it can be in mono on both channels.

The last UMC Driver 5.57.0 (for Windows 10 + 11) does the trick for me. But, yes, it took quite long to figure out.
absolute legende
thx for the correct driver cheerz
Thank you I will try this later...I have subscribed
Unfortunately, this does not work for direct monitoring.
What would actually be most important.

Is the old driver works on Windows 10 ?
Unfortunately, even with the old driver provided, I still don't get the single channel option on the dropdown. Ah well. This is on Windows 11 FWIW.
Yeah windows 11 killed everything
