Like every other feature and function of our WheelRestore DCM3 the scanning process is cutting edge, no puns intended! Unlike traditional CNCs or lathes that use an old style touch probe, our wheel repair machine uses a laser to scan the wheel profile. The laser is considerably faster and MUCH more accurate. The laser records 2,200 points of data during the scan, resulting in an extremely accurate and precise wheel profile.
