Thanks for flying your drone and capturing this 4K video of the crater on June 20. It does look like it is slowing the lava eruption to the point of stopping soon. What is shocking is how fast your drone covered the distance from the crater to the Svartsengi power plant and Silica Hotel. The distance is not far. I understand that there is a topographic ridge in between that adds to the lava barrier to stop flows from flowing directly west very far. The lava has to flow north around the mountain or south towards Grindavik.

The lava has breached the berm again today at the power plant. Three spill overs along the berm. 😮😢
The plant is rather far, 1 km at least from that point. It ll never make it that far

A question from California viewer. I'm sure the authorities have consider this. By the videos I see the lava is coming out in one direction. Why can't the opposite wall of the volcano be blown up to change the direction? If the lava could be diverted even for a short time maybe the lava could harden and stop flowing toward the plant.
Volcano stopped and seems like for good and for maybe next 2000 yrs...0 activity.

21 June 2 am local time and the overflow at the power plant has gained momentum and is quite big and continuing.
Unfortunately I dont think there's much more to be done .... An eruption soon will be too close and too strong to stop ... Best wishes ❤

Today right now is 21st June Friday 2.30 AM Icelandic time. Lava is spilling over the defense walls in 3 places right now. 33 fire fighters are there. The breach has been happening for at least 6 hours. Good time for a drone. Many are watching.
