At least for me.

“I tried to film a volcano and it was a complete disaster”
Yes Tom, volcanoes are indeed normally normally a disaster.
I feel like volcanoes in Iceland are a bit like floods in the Netherlands: yes, they're inherently dangerous, and used to claim lives, but by now the locals have mastered mitigation and live alongside it with death being mostly something that happens to foreigners and the damn fools that ignore warning signs.
Though for Tom the disaster was the complete non-existance of even a hint of anything actually disasterous.
Until the actual disaster of the fusion cuisine, anyway.
@@SaraWolffs Isn't that what humanity is all about, mitigating, adapting and living with the environment ?

Even if the original video failed, its still an interesting story to see when things go wrong. Things happen when we make films and we never know what those things are
Things especially happen when you try to make films of nature being nature. Sometimes, you get an amazing, award winning shoot. Others, you get tiredness, disappointment, and a few good but not blow it out of the water shots. Then you make what you can of it and move on.
And those people usually cannot salvage anything, while a youtuber with a few million subscribers can at least recoup the cost of the failed shoot.
