That's a very good tip! for anyone reading, just hover the mouse over the values for black or white level and hit E, it will bring up the color picker for the respected values and you can directly sample from the viewport.
IM gonna make an operator for my addon for this. Iver also added save curves to amaranth addon, so color management settings are saved. Making an automated operator is quite handy
the video cuts to a already created RGB node. I'm trying to keep these videos as short and to the point as possible. but basically you can open any node editor ( the compositor, the material editor, texture editor etc, and create an RGB node by hitting Shift+A, then from the Input section just pick RGB. sample the colors you need, copy the values into the Curves black and white point and then delete the RGB node if you are not going to use it any further.
You missed how to bring up the colour picker. Short cut E

Thank you, haven't seen this tip anywhere else, will try it out next time I'm rendering.
This is genius. Finally a way to accurately color correct the white balance in blender. Thanks for this tip!
Please need full in-depth tutorial on this. Im facing this issue all the time. 🙏🙏
Wow this is awesome. I am always bad at compositing/ color grading. this should help, thanks!
Yeah, it is a really nice trick to get a good base for your image. Of course some contrast and color corrections afterwards help :D

Hello, how did you create the side panel and RGB node at Time Index 0:14?
