I was ten yrs old when this came out and I loved it along with oasis , nirvana guns n Roses and offspring when I didn’t realise they were all coming from different angles and never liked each other and were different kinds of rock 😂! All I knew was that they played loud fast sounded angry like they didn’t give a fuck like rebels didn’t fit in looked cool and blew people and minds heads off! I sound like one of those people now but there really is no rock n roll bands like that now! Rock n roll got taken off the working class and taken over by students , posh rich kids, nerdy rejected kids, troubled kids, and that’s fine but the upper classes have ripped the soul out of it. Hip hop now has the rock n roll soul. Rock n roll used to be cool now it’s sad even when I was at school it was seen as a bit lame. It’s because they are all boring I mean who wants to be Chris Martin or Thom Yorke ? The kids wanna look like the hip hop dudes. Guns, nirvana and oasis were all working class and rebels and didn’t give a fuck and what happens? They cross over! People look and dress like em! If a rock band cane along now and the youth could relate to them then they will be huge! But when they look and act like GVF Or the struts then they might as well just get used to the fame they got now coz it ain’t getting bigger only smaller! If I was a manager I’d want a rock band to look and act like hip hop rappers ,rebels and with a bad attitude, cause trouble but get away with it coz the musics good enough, and it’s not stealing hip hops vibe coz it’s rock n rolls vibe. There was a time when Jagger and Richards were seen as wilder and cooler then any rappers! Elvis even! Oh you posh soulless middle class people you have killed rock n roll and I guarantee they will kill hip hop soon. It’s always the same the street invents there own sound and fashion the posh kids think oh cool and adopt it and ruin it and make it uncool!!

Shut the fuck up about the Ramones having an element of danger about them… They were singing freaking Ronette songs and never got violent with the crowd unless they were attacked. So they were leather jackets and bluejeans oooh scary.
They were ultimate performers. They never fucked around they never talked between songs they were tight as shit. That’s not scary that’s just rock ‘n’ roll. And that’s all Green Day is -rock ‘n’ roll. I think if you look at the whole world of music, hell just punk rock and rock ‘n’ roll you’ll find that Green Day’s attitude and sense of humor is totally like the Ramones. Just look at the cover of dookie and then look at the cartoon drawn covers of the Ramones. I mean there are so many similarities but they don’t have to be the exact same thing they 20 years apart. The Ramones were just very serious and really really wanted to succeed. Green Day Really really want to succeed and I can tell you from seeing them in one of their early shows that they were already playing like the who so there you go.Basically both of the bands the Ramones and Green Day had no back up plan.At least that’s how green day put it. I’m sure they could’ve caught served in Berkeley for 20 years but I don’t think that’s what they wanted. I don’t know that they even wanted what they got, But they sure don’t seem unhappy about it.
The Ramones on the other hand never had any real success and when Nirvana finally came along and the Ramones were getting some bigger gigs one of them got sick and that was kind of it.They hardly sold any albums but now they probably sold 10 million T-shirts and I hope their family is getting the money from them. In any case they lived their lives as musicians- They never sold out. And I’m not talking about a major label that means nothing. They never turned away from the style of music they wanted to play and they just wanted to keep on playing it until somebody liked it and put it on the radio. It just didn’t really happen. I think Green Day is the same way just with a happier ending. I think they have thicker skin’s then Kurt and they could take The onslaught of bullshit that came along with the beginningSo called pop punk which Green Day never played but lots of bands ended up sounding like because they couldn’t write good music like Green Day.

I mean this was only like one step above RUclips so why would you expect them to waste their time repeating stories people should already know. There are multiple books on them and there’s a book about the whole Gilman scene in Berkeley if you want All the info.
