The homing attack shield is nostalgic but in reality it's not the best shield at all.
Sonic 3d fickys island now in sonic 3 air a bit
more monitors=more extra super forms if you have that mod.

There’s no new monitors, just new icons.
P.S.: Some of these are just guesses and not all of them are listed.
Gold Sheild: Homes you to the nearest entity, also gives you some sort of Hyper Dash when nothing homable is on screen.
Goggles: Acts like the bubble shield expect it can be stacked with any sheild to get double protection, without a sheild Sonic loses his goggles and his rings.
Tornado/Wind Sheild: Makes you get fluid air movement.
Spikeball Sheild: Act like Blue/Regular Sheild except of the spikeballs are touched by a badnik they get destroyed.
Blue Ring: Act like Sonic Mania’s Blue Rings.
So The Gold Shield Gives You The Homing Attack?
