Sonic 3 Chronicles is a fan game about Sonic. Its first version was created by me in 2006. Now the game is being completely rebuilt. But its essence remains the same - this is an alternative version of Sonic 3, the purpose of which is to show the zones of the Competition mode (Azure Lake, Balloon Park, Chrome Gadget, Desert Palace, Endless Mine) as full-fledged levels that heroes get into due to the fact that the events in the game turned out differently: the bridge at the end of Angel Island did not collapse, and they ended up not in the Hydrocity, but in the Endless Mine. In addition to these levels, Angel Island Zone and several completely new levels are planned for this game.
This demo contains 3 full-fledged competition zones.

This is just amazing! I have always loved the competitive stages and wished they were in the game, now they are! It absolutely feels as though this has always been there because in a way, it always has. If there was just some way to trigger events just after boss fight in Act II of Angel Island to trigger the alternate route (Chronicles) or continue the traditional route through the game (Hydrocity). Man I would replay this over and over! Seeing a Deseret Palace and Chrome Gadget would just be too awesome!

What a cool fangame. I've wanted to see this concept for a long time, and the implementation here is great. Great Act II themes, too.
This is amazing. Perfectly turning these into full on zones. I am watching this and it just feels like tbis is and always has been a part of sonic 3. The great boss fights, clever zone gimmicks ( like the balloon shooting canon. Love it , and i agree this should be added to sonic 3 complete, as an alternate route, it deserves to be there. Respect to the creator of this, great job

3:12- A Giant Grounder. That would have made an interesting episode for a second season of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. It also reminds me of Yoshi's Island, namely how bosses are enlarged versions of normal enemies.
5:54 - A Donkey Kong Country-esque mine cart ride.
8:48 - "Froggy?"
12:25 - Slow Down Shoes. Now that's an interesting power-down previously only seen in the 2-Player mode. Then again, these stages are from the 2-Player mode.
14:09 - Azure Lake Bad Future.
22:44 - Hey, look, it's that clown robot from Sonic Advance.
23:46 - Balloon Bursting Echidna.

I will definitely add them. Chrome Gadget is my favourite level.
I've always had this idea in the back of my mind. Those 2p levels always felt like complete ideas that could be expanded and you knocked it out of the park. Really excited to see what you can do with Chrome Gadget@@FuntikXX

Thanks a lot. This is an independent game, not a romhack. But my goal was to make it as similar as possible to the original Sonic 3, so this sounds like a compliment :D

city escape (classic) reused the same leitmotifs that was in endless mine

Играл в первую версию еще в 06м. На фоне тогдашних фанигр выглядеда достойно, да и обновления быстро выходили. Потом вскоре вышла игра про Майти, она еще лучше была)

Is it wrong that I wish the Balloon Park Mini-Boss was one of the Juggler Harlequins juggling a combination of Balloons, Spike Balls and Bombs, hurling them at you at random? The Giant Orbinaut with the Lasers seems cool but it doesn't really fit the theme of the zone very well.

The only problem i have is that sonic jumps like a rock
I like the idea they had with this fan game, but it needs improving in some places. The Endless Mine loops made of wooden scaffolding don't stand out enough, and there's lots of bizarre level design decisions in Azure Lake, like that one part where you must use a fire shield to progress and only get one shot because water is underneath you. Also, not really a fan of Balloon Park's Act 2 remix.
Enemies and bosses are great, but the level design is too linear.
Gives me a Sonic 2.5 vibe.
Its fun and great i love it sonic was always about going damn fast bro!
