Krug Champagne. Is Krug Grande Cuvée worth €230?

In this video I'm talking about Krug Champagne Grande Cuvée 169ème edition. Krug house is one the most prestigious Champagne producer that is only producing fine blends (Cuvée). Apart of Grande Cuvée, Krug is also making Vintage Champagne, Clos du Mesnil which is blanc de blancs Champagne and it comes from the single vineyards, also Clos d'Ambonnay that grapes comes from a single plot. The last two wines are non-vintage Rosé and Krug collection, which comes from the library stock of Krug, the current release is 1990 vintage.
Grande Cuvée 169éme edition is a blend of 146 wines comes from 11 different vintages, the oldest is 2000 and the youngest is 2013, which represents approximately 60% of the final blend. The blend is 43% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 22% Pinot Meunier and each wine is fermented separately in natural oak.
BTW, the best glassware for Krug Champagne or any other find sparkling wine is tulip.
In terms of food paring, Krug is an fantastic aperitif and goes really well with seafood such as oysters or prawns. Also with oriental cuisine like Vietnamese or Moroccan along with deserts such Tart Tatin or carrot cake.
