- This is version #2.0 of my DIY Portable AC and Cooler with variable fan speed control and a self-contained cold water pump system. Stay tuned for version 3.0 - I just figured out how to handle the condensation issues from version 1.0 with self-contained external air intake. The 3.0 version top of the AC unit will be completely isolated again with external air input and output. Stay tuned and keep it simple and under $150.
Iced Chest is an old one I had for about 10 years sitting in storage.
20v Dewalt batteries I used for my power tools - the cradle and 12v transformer are less than $20
High-velocity 12v Fan found on the internet for less than $20.
Flexform pipe for output and intake ductwork is $30.
