I ended up buying a single barrel barrel proof JD and a Larceny A124, both for $70ea in NC. The Larceny was the best Larceny I've tasted but the JD blew me away! I always thought old number 7 was good for a mixer at best but the sbbp was delicious and interesting. Only tried it because of your channel.
Thank you for sharing. Financial education is crucial today to show incredible resilience and discipline in the volatile market, masterfully balancing strategy and insight for success. Great lineup TJ!! Coy is the best by far and can't wait for the new one coming. The JD12 and then the SBBP gold and ryes are excellent. Also the silver label 100 proof which I think is still international release only is very good. Also do try the DO Peerless rye. It's very good. The oak is strong though.
I have always wondered about if Jack Daniels is a bourbon or whiskey and I do remember somebody telling me that Jack Daniels is a sour mash and that's why it's a whiskey and not a bourbon. I told the guy that the only way they could be remotely different is the distilling process but other than that they are the same. Six of one and half a dozen of the other.
The charcoal filtration/Lincoln county process has nothing to do with the legality of bourbon, Evan Williams products are charcoal filtered and still considered bourbon. The “Tennessee Whiskey” genre was created purely for marketing purposes.
OF 1924 is pretty over rated at $115 MSRP. It's a decent bottle but it's just overpriced. I bought a bottle of it just because it was in front of me (same day I picked up a ER, EHT smb, and Caribou Crossing at Total Wine). I had no intention of buying one but when I was checking out I just said fine, let's add one to the cart. For $250 getting those 4 bottles is a "good" haul but I have backups of ER and EHT. I only bought the bottles because Total Wine never has that stuff lmao. I will probably just take them to bottle shares or board game nights just so other people can drink them.
Enjoying the channel so far. Not sure if you realized but every new poor that hasnt been rinsed has a little of the old poor in it, so its not a true expression of whats in the glass.
I don't care for the live streams, to me its like listening in on someone elses phone call. As far as Jack Daniels, I don't have a single bottle in my collection. I have had a fair share of #7. I just feel they want to be a tennesse whiskey, so let them. By law its not a Bourbon, if the charcoal filtering is allowed, then what else is going to be relaxed. My thoughts about JD is they want to be a Tenn. Whiskey and being made in a dry county all for advertising. AND I am a retired woodworker, and have built 2 bars. I really liked your video when you did the tailgating overnight in the parking lot. Cheers...Tom to Tom
By law it is a bourbon. NAFTA defines Tennessee Whiskey as straight bourbon whiskey made in Tennessee. So it has to meet all the standards for bourbon to be called Tennessee Whiskey.
Jack is nasty . I can't take a shot without it coming back up. Ture facts . Still to this day I get really sick. But I can drink other brands. Just fine.
I've been having this argument for awhile now. Nothing about the Lincoln County Process would disqualify JD from being bourbon. The only reason it's not bourbon is because it's Tennessee Whiskey which by definition, is not bourbon. Although it's made the the exact same way and I would put it in the bourbon category for comparative purposes. It is 100% delcious, not debatable.

I missed this live, but the Jack Single Barrel Barrel Proof is crazy good.
I’ve been loving the Dettling lately.
You've got me pumped for JD12. I picked up batch 2 last weekend (traded a Weller 12 for it). Excited to crack it open.
Coy hill and special release 2020 rye release are my favorite JD.. 10 year batch 1,2,3 and 12 year batch 1 and have not opened 12 year batch2
Old Forester 1920

Love the content, you've inspired me to get back into bourbon and I've been loving it! Keep it up!

@Brewzle When is the Old Dominick barrel pick being released?

Sorry I missed the video, watching it tonight here in the UK , Will definitely be at the next promise
Looking forward to your UK visit when it happens, if you need a guide, just saying
Have yet to get my bottle from the release two weekends ago
What's the difference between the two memberships?.
Thanks!
Have you tried the single barrel bottled in bond ?travel exclusive jack..
Yes, next question.
I love JD, Old Fo, and Woodford. Bring on the Brown-Forman picks!
Still need ya to convince irons one!
Can you review FOUR WALLS from the Always Sunny Gang?
It would be a good RUclips short if you blended JD no.7 and JD Bonded and put it up against Sinatra blind.
My group went to Uncle Nearest last month and I wasn't impressed by any of their products maybe just not my thing. I love the jdsbbp and rye though.
Can’t wait till 4/6/24
Is Tj from Tennessee?
1910 is freaking delicious. You’re off your rocker.

Ok you talked me into it, I'm getting patron and YOU will be my only use for it. 🤘
It is Tennessee Whiskey (period).
1000th like was mine.
Ezra Brooks is another “charcoal melllowed” bourbon, or at least that’s what the bottle says.

Bourbon is already charcoal filtered, Ezra Brooks definitely is
Jack Daniels is like tap water compared to spring water. Why drink tap water when you can have mountain spring water?
No and no

We talkin jd7 or single barrel select?!?! Man I love the SBS.
100% years it meets all the standards FACT101🎉🎉🎉

Love Jake Daniels’s, it’s as good as any other whiskey I have ever had.
