Chris says, "Girls!" and rolls his eyes. Melissa smiles and lifts her shoulders and tilts her head left and right thinking of the gleeful union you two have.
We just decided to go to Niagara and after watching your video our excitement has reached so much. I don't know why you guys don't have more subscribers. The way you guys talk, the video cuts, the music, everything was perfect as a VLOG.
We LOVE hearing these type of things. Thank you for the very nice comments. Maybe some day we'll have enough subscribers to do more videos more often. This youtube is hard. :)
Just took my 5th trip to Niagara Falls of 2023 i walked Niagara Falls State Park and Canadian Side for 16 hours Tuesday i was At Terrapin Point then Table Rock the back to Terrapin Point and back to Table Rock that was crazy fun i can definitely say i seen Every Angle of Horseshoe Falls several times in 1 Day lol!!!!!
I live not too far from Niagara CA & glad I stumbled onto your channel. Look forward to watching more of your videos. You two seem like such a cute couple !!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We love the Falls too and wish we were visiting again soon. I think it'll be a bit before we make it to that area again.
Thanks guys, we live near hear and over the years have done a lot of the tours you did. The power station and the tunnel I have never heard of, I have to check it out. Next time you are back check out the Whirlpool Jet Boats.
I remember doing the Maid of the Mist (as it was called then) when I was a kid, before disposable plastic ponchos and you got to wear rubber raincoats that a thousand other people had worn before you. Much better now.
The Maid of the Mist was bought by an American company and only launches the boats from that side now. The new Niagara City boats company took over the old MotM Canadian docks
My wife and I haven’t been to Niagara Falls since the 90’s. Now we’re going this summer and where taking our two daughters for their first trip! I hear there’s a Starbucks up there! We can’t wait to the new stuff and restaurants ! We’re renting a house near the falls.
Thank you! We'd probably recommend the boat ride up to the falls. The views are great. And getting that close gives you an idea of the power of the falls. You'll get wet, but we found it worth it.
I live less than an hour from the Falls, have done many of the same things that they did, and I would agree that the boat ride is the most must do activity.
I wish you guys could have been with my father and me when we took the tunnel trip behind the falls in 1961. Serious erosion has happened since then. We walked all the way to barriers at the ends of the tunnels, where you could look down to rail car sized boulders being bombarded by water, and look up to see the roaring water coming over the brink. It seemed like we were about a third of the way up from the bottom of the cliff. At the first portal, when you looked left, you saw the end of the curtain of water, with a nice rainbow and the American Falls in the distance, and at the second portal, nothing but a monstrous and highly intimidating wall of water as far as you could see in both directions. Even though it was August, Dad and I were the only ones there, so we stood and watched for 15 minutes or so. It was mind boggling! When I first saw modern videos of those tunnel portals, I thought maybe they were keeping people back because some stupid person had climbed over the barrier, which could easily be a fatal mistake, but now I see in your video and others that the cliff has eroded back, allowing a LOT of water to enter the tunnels. That's too bad, but I'm glad you still got the feeling of all that power. We had also visited in 1952, the final summer before half the water was taken from the Horseshoe Falls for electric power generation. I read at that time that the water was 20 feet deep at the center of the horseshoe, moving at 60 miles an hour. Now, it's only 10 feet deep, but it's still gorgeous, just not quite as outright frighteiing! Thanks for sharing your video. It was great fun to watch.😶
@@chrisplusmelissa It will be interesting to see what happens to the tunnels that are parallel to the falls when the cliff has eroded enough to reach them. I suspect I'll be around to see the news headlines of a huge collapse, because I'm like comedian Steven Wright, who said, "I plan to live forever. So far, so good." 🤣😅
@@chrisplusmelissa I was at Niagara Falls a few times as a kid then again a few years ago. I won't say how many decades later. Lol. But I've never done all these cool things. Just go look at the Falls then go to the casino. Lol.

I've lived my entire 61 yrs within a 30 min car ride from any of those places, yet, I've never done any of those things, although, I have a vague recollection of being on the Spanish Aero car ride as part of a school trip.... maybe?
You said fireworks is every night. Are you sure? I haven't gone in a few years but it used to only be on weekends and holidays. Illumination of the falls is year round though. The pass has changed a little bit over the years, my husband and I did the pass over 20 years ago during our honeymoon, but we purchased additional days of bus pass and spread it out over a week since my husband doesn't handle the constant tourist thing well.
Chris has been sea sick before but did not get sea sick on this boat ride. It's only about 15 or 20 minutes and we loved every minute of it. That said, there've been other boat rides in choppier water at sea that he also hasn't been sea sick on, so we might not be good at assessing the situation. We didn't notice anyone looking seasick, but we were also busy admiring nature's phenomenal power. I get terrified in the water at times, but I have "good sea legs." -- Melissa
Planning a trip to the niagara falls (1st time) from the US what would u suggest fly from florida to ontario or into buffalo NY and pardon my ignorance can u rent a car in buffalo NY and drive into Canada and return back in the US? Thanx keep the vdos coming,,,,
Hi! I'm not sure we've got enough expertise to be the best advisors here... but I do know that you can certainly rent a car in the USA and drive it into Canada. You'd probably want to ask your rental company however as there may be insurance things you need to do for being in Canada. I go up to Niagara Falls 2-3 times a year from Ohio and I have a passport. I always do both sides of Niagara Falls start on Goat Island NY and walk my way over to Table Rock Canadian Side so many great views of all 3 Falls people really miss out skipping the USA Side from my Experience yes the Canadian Side has hands down the panoramic views of Niagara Falls period!!!!! and you can get pretty damn close to Horseshoe Falls, however on the American Side you are able to get up close and really feel Power of all 3 Falls that simply cannot be done from Canadian Side yes the views are close up and block the whole waterfall from being seen but being able to stand 2 feet from the American Falls at Luna Island and see and feel water rushing over is crazy fun Experience so much water 2 feet in front of you!!!!! Also you can get pretty close to Horseshoe Falls on Goat Island like 4 feet in front the angle is very Unique basically looking at a side view of Horseshoe Falls it's like you can tell it's a Horseshoe but doesn't quite look like it but I always tell people if they can do both sides!!!!!
