What this article neglects to inform you of, is thatJessica Blazee/26 is also charged with "3056 - Violation Parole: Felony" so it's not so 'random' when felons are being let out by our system to commit more crimes.

San Francisco’s black police chief stopped allowing mug shots around 2019/2020 being released because it unfairly impacted blacks. Even though blacks are actually arrested for crime, we cannot stigmatize the race or impact the stereotype.
Last year Governor Newsom signed into law police agency’s could not share mug shots for non-violent offenders. So this case is a felony, it could be plead to misdemeanor or dropped so agencies don’t want to put out mugshot just in case charges are reduced or dropped. We have to protect the criminals.
The media follows suit with the DEI plan to reduce the stigma on blacks. Police and media won’t provide the color of wanted suspect, they will tell you the color of his/her clothes or vehicle.
Here it appears to be a white or bi-racial woman. The thing about releasing booking photos or race of suspects and arrested, now everyone assumes they are black anyways. So it hasn’t helped.
