They just never miss. Goeff and Layne have always been great arrangers, but the last year they have really just reached perfection. I keep forgetting how good Layne's voice is because he doesn't sing often. He used to be the baritone until Scott Porter left, but he's got an incredible range too. Geoff said that when they did Heart of Life they didn't want to have someone new sing since Earl had just left, and the song was for him, so Layne did all of the cool things you hear in the background when he mixed it. He's also hit an A0 as an inhale note at the very end of SH-Boom and that beats Geoff's low. His high note was a C# 6 and it was a sound effect in the Disney Villains medley.
Finally! I have mentioned this song to several reactors. This (to me) is simple their best work. Not an overly complicated arrangement by their standards today, but the vocals are insane. And nothing but vocals. Loved your reaction and hoping more will react to it.
I first heard this song when UB40 performed it, so for me, UB40 made it iconic. They're probably one of the few - if not the only - group(s) who could simultaneously make it upbeat and solemn at the same time.
By the way, their cover of True Colors has so nice harmonies too and Layne sings more in that one. I really recommend it!! It’s rather different from the original though, so you’re aware of that. 😊
Our reactions to Christmas pieces will be out real soon... In the meantime, we hope you enjoyed this one as much as we did! 🤗

I’ve seen folks talk about his A0 inhale in SH-Boom, we’ll probably check it out after Xmas season! 🤩
A-Teens also did a version of "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You" for Lilo and Stitch. It's a very upbeat and poppy song

Oh wow, you brought back memories of me listening to the UB40 version while on road trips with my parents! 🤯
I’m hoping you’ll react to Geoffs “God rest you merry gentlemen” for Christmas, it’s his last one for the year 😊
Yaaas we’re going to finally record it this weekend! 💪
@@ZhenYaoYin Great! 😊 Have a nice weekend!
Honestly one of my favorites from Voiceplay. Thank you for reacting :)
it was so great to see Layne sing! ❤️🏴
Always! 😍
I can't believe you just got round to this one. It's been a favourite of mine for a good while. Just beautiful harmonies. Nothing more needed.
Haha yes, what took us so long?! 🤣
So how many times did you go back and listen to that chord? That's my favorite part of the song and thanks to you I know it IS a chord😊
This many times! 🙌 🤣
It’s so beautiful! Glad you enjoyed it!
