Superb video and thanks for recording so many precious memories. The attention to detail within the hotel was incredible. Few hotels are a work of art. I left the property a week ago and can’t wait to return. Loved the staff as well. Excellent service. Again well done on your review.
thanks Josh, your vidoes have confirmed me to stay here and St Regis Osaka. Would you say this place is cheaper then the RC Kyoto and probably just as good?
Sounds wonderful! In Osaka I do prefer the W Hotel as it’s more modern but St. Regis was also nice. The Mitsui and Ritz in Kyoto are around the same price but overall I prefer the Mitsui due to the design and it’s a new hotel while the Ritz is 10 years old.
Hey Josh, my girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Japan where I will be proposing. For Kyoto after watching your videos I’m torn between the Mitsui and the Ritz. For context I only have 220k bonvoy points so we’re doing 2 nights at either hotel (gf doesn’t want to switch hotels too often). She also has celiac. We’re 31 and 30 respectively. What are your thoughts?
What Marriott Bonvoy level are you? Overall if your looking for flawless service I would recommend Ritz as they will make sure your stay is special. For overall atmosphere and beauty the Mitsui. At the Mitsui there is a bit of a language barrier as mostly only people from Japan stay there. The Ritz is more international and almost everyone there speaks fluent English.
@@gogotravelwithjoshcircling back here. We ended up doing 2 nights at the Mitsui and 2 nights at the Ritz. The Mitsui had no issue accommodating my fiances allergy. Honestly both properties are exceptional but we agree that we’d give the slight edge to the Mitsui. Thermal spa was insane. We did the ritz Tokyo, Mitsui, now we’re at the ritz and we have the W Osaka and the Mesm coming up next. Just wanted to say how much your content helped when planning our engagement trip 🫡
Wow great to hear! That’s exactly what I would have done too is 2 nights at both as the each offer something special. Glad you overall enjoyed the Mitsui:) Also exciting you will be at the W Osaka and MESM all my favorite hotels. That will make for an excellent trip 🤩
@@gogotravelwithjosh thanks man. Your take on the Ritz Tokyo was also spot on. The facilities were amazing and hospitality was great, highlight was the spa and lobby. But the room needs to be renovated. Feels very 2008. We have another Asia trip booked next summer, hitting the JW Singapore, Naka Island Phuket, and the W Hong Kong. Would love to hear your take if you’ve been to any of those 3. Keep up the great work! Really appreciate your content!!
Nice video and the introduction, keep it going!😂❤😊
Thank you!

Thank you for the kind feedback! This property truly is a work of art and very memorable!
They were just awarded three keys from Michelin, the only one in Kyoto and only one of six in the whole of Japan. So impressive, every single detail.
I saw the perfect combination of luxury hotels and Japanese culture from your introduction, and also saw many beautiful details. Thank you.
Thank you for the feedback and for watching 😊
I stayed there in May. Superb.

Asia's luxury hotels can be called true luxury, way better than the same brands in Europe and America.
Absolutely! I’m always impressed with all the luxury hotels I’ve stayed at in Asia. Especially with service and food quality at breakfast.

@@gogotravelwithjosh only gold unfortunately. Work travel significantly decreased in 2023.

I’m upset that you used an obviously Chinese theme music for Kyoto …😢
Thank you for letting me know, I did not realize that at all when I made the video. Will definitely choose more carefully next time:)

Yes, I’ve had good success with them overall.
