I would've bought this if it weren't so darn hard to find in California. Also marked up to where it costed the same as a Rav4 hybrid, which I ended up going with instead.
Charlie, I don't care if the reviewer is subjective or objective, I just want a cogent assessment. Within its class, the Corolla Cross Hybrid is just 3 inches of rear seat legroom and a spare tire short of greatness. 😉
@@g.r.2985 I always compare Toyota to Honda. Check out the rear legroom in the HR-V compared to the Cross. For that matter, compare the RAV4 to the CR-V. Either the competitors are too big or the Toyotas are too small because the differences are too stark for any other explanation.
imo, the zr-v e:hev (hr-v in the states) is way better than the corolla cross hybrid in terms of interior/exterior design and the materials used for the interior. it rides and handles better too, after test driving both. hopefully, the hybrid will come to the states soon since the civic comes in hybrid now.
You should add Nightshade to your title somewhere. I've googled this car before and I only happened to stumble on your review when someone mentioned your JBL speaker review and it happened to be about the Nightshade. I know there's not a whole lot special about the nightshade, but it might get you a few more clicks that way. You also get the larger wheels on the nightshade that aren't on the SE normally. I think there's a couple other small differences.
At this price point you can get Rav4. Good car, but way too expensive. Not sure even if it will more fuel efficient then rav4. Some guys here tested for week both of them and rav4 beat by little CC
This car is like your hiking boots, it looks ugly (subjectively I think the Corolla Cross looks good), not gonna impress anyone but it gets the job done. The only gripe is the price tbh
I love the fact that this review focuses on what a day would look like after owning this car. Other content creators just focus on how fast it is.
On your videos can you show the cargo area with both seats folded down?

Then the RAV-4 enters the chat

Hi Charlie. My 2023 Corolla hatchback SE has a sliding armrest. One would think they would have put it in that one too.
same with my 2022 Corolla Hybrid. I'm waiting for delivery of a 2024 Corolla Cross XSE Hybrid and a bit disappointed about the sliding armrest.
I need this hybrid system in a Mazda CX-30

Fair enough, thanks for the suggestion!

This should be called the RAV-3 or the RAV-2

Yeah I really like how it looks. But yeah that's why you buy this thing.
I was all set to buy one but when I found out the lift gate wasn't powered I crossed it off my list. Yes, I am that person lol
@@kylewhisman is it with every trim?
XSE is powered
@@heedless619 oh. Couldn't find anything on Toyotas website but if that's the case
To me it's good news because I don't want yet another thing to break, but yes just get the XSE trim. It has powered.
