Working on my Nautique and trying to get rid of scratches on the gunnel using a heavy cut but looks like the scratches are too deep do I need to sand these out?
Yeah, if the scratches are too deep for heavy compound, you’ll need to go to the sanding phase 1st, then try to work the sanding marks out with heavy compound.
You used Shift and Smooth Move as soap on this one. Is this because it wasn’t very dirty and you wanted to retain any protective film that may have been previously applied? Many times you use Super Clean and Dawn. How much of each do you add to the foam cannon bottle before topping it off with warm water? I want to get good foam and want to tap into your knowledge so I’m not just trial and erroring it.
Did the pin on the Jack bend and break or was it just not fully seated correctly? It looks like that is the part that failed and not the actual Jack itself
For protection after all of the correction/polishing has been done, what’s the difference between ceramic coating it and using a huge marketed product like Shark Hide?
Have you heard of Booyah Clean? I shoukd have used that stuff on some heavy hull stain I dealt with. Totally environmental safe and not as caustic as the acid I actually did use. Either way, wouldn't Booyah Clean get heavy water spots out?
Really enjoy your videos. I am curious on this boat while you didn't use the rotary buffer and some compound to get the water spots out? Is it because it was ceramic coated and the compound would damage that? Did you go over the whole boat with soap and water neutralize the acid or just the metal parts? I have an older Malibu and I'm just learning how to detail it using your videos so thanks a lot!
You’ll always get a better result if you use a acid to remove the water spots vs buffing. When you buff water spots the minerals come off of the boat into the bad and can life deeper swirls and scratches. So always chemically remove them first. I neutralized the acid with shine supply aftermath before I polish the burnout. On the metal I used soap and water in a spray bottle.
Awesome. Thanks for the info. What are your thoughts on Hot Sauce water spot remover or Babe’s? I have used those but not heard of the one you are using. The Hot Sauce one has some sealant too so shines up pretty nice. Just looking for a recommendation for a wake boat after each use when I put it on a lift. Thanks again. Love you channel and your content!
Killing the game dude! Probs for all the tips and a killer video 👊🏻
Thanks brother!
I’ve detailed around 30 of these boats already. A lot of hidden spots!
Absolutely!
Video editing just leveled up!
Yep! 💯💯
The boat looks amazing, I’m glad you didn’t get hurt 👍😁
Me too! Ha
Great job Drake! Looks amazing. You always go the extra step.
Thanks 😊
As soon as I get starke all figured out, you switch on me lol. Good job as usual.
As always another amazing job 💪👍

Love it as always glad he wasn't hurt 👍
Thanks! just got punched in the face by the boat! ha
Great job bro!!!
Appreciate it!!

Beautiful job! Thanks for sharing that.

awesome, love it !!!
except the part where the boat fell, glad you were ok.
Thanks 😎🔥
How long from start to finish does it take you to detail surf boats like this?
It’s usually one long day-but up to a couple depending on what kind of condition it’s in.
Great video. Any recommendations for removing water spots off a marine radio face?

What you said in your first paragraph is exactly why we used it! We didn’t want to strip the wax and it didn’t need that deep of a clean
I’ve got a black Mastercraft. I know how to correct and do coatings. What ceramic coating do you recommend?
Shine supply makes an awesome coating! Check it out on our website! www.detailusupply.com/collections/boat-detailing-ceramic-coating

Don’t know exactly, All we know is that is did not feel good! Haha
So do you think it’s ok to very light polish a boat that’s currently coated without degrading the coating?
It will break down the coating, make sure you re-apply afterward
You forgot to wear your football helmet that day! Lol, jokes aside though I'm glad you're alright 👍
Haha thanks!
I’m confused. Is burn out a wax sealant or polisher? What’s the difference between burn out and jescar?
Burn out is an si02 polish. It’s has a mild abrasive with silica for protection.
Jescar is just a polymer sealant with no abrasive
For protection after all of the correction/polishing has been done, what’s the difference between ceramic coating it and using a huge marketed product like Shark Hide?
Shark hide goes in metal.
Ceramic is just the best option for protection that we have In industry

Nice, thanks for watching!
I heard you can use cherry on top of the burn out …. Is that necessary?
You can however I personally don’t feel like it does much 🤷

Awesome, we’ll have to check it out 😎
Where are you located drake? For detailing

Dammm dude , that boat fall was a close call. 😬😬
Yep!! Almost had a really bad day!

Omg that trailer fell so close to your leg! I'm so glad you did not get hurt from that! Freak accident for sure.
