Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande, a genius who learned from stalwarts like Ustad Asad Ali Khan, Ustad Aman Alikhan (Bhendibazarwale), Sureshbabu Mane, Mst. Dinanath Mangeshkar; among others, always presented a style that was unique to him. There was no contemporary nor has there been anyone since who could 'imitate' him!
