What if they just put the STi gearbox and diffs in the VB and then call it a Spec B instead? Then Subaru won't be lying about not having an STi for the VB generation, but have the "STi" (wink wink, nudge, nudge) that everyone wants
@@destinycovington7056 no I don’t need Subaru to do it for me. Neither is every single VB owner doing the swap, so I don’t think anyone can speak on behalf of “all” VB owners. The VB STI was very exciting for me. I wanted to an STI on an updated FA engine. 350 hp, adaptive dampers, and the drivetrain. I love my VB WRX but those things would really make it special for me. Thanks for your comment! I do enjoy driving my VB wrx everyday and for me, it checks all the boxes as a fun daily. Subaru needs to just listen to what everyone is saying and add some upgrades to the FA24 so it can make 350hp+ with no electric assistance. So many fellow VB wrx owners get past that 350whp mark with a few mods and protune so it’s clear the FA24 has some legs to run on, subaru just needs to commit to it.
400hp sounds wonderful but I’m liking the price of the wrx right now. Not sure I would want to spend more than 50k on a car. Yeah the WRXs best selling point is it’s the easiest way to get into an AWD turbo manual car close to 30K USD. If the new STI comes with an atrocious price tag, I’ll look elsewhere for a more value packed car or just keep my VB and go e85 haha
There nothing special about 400 bhp that’s literally 320-330 whp. If you think 50k is bad, you should see my 21 sti. 44k new from the dealer and 45k in mods = a 500whp sti.
