    Beautiful! Makes me miss when I was a kid. Never hiked castle rock trail. I can smile the dirt from the trail. I live in Southern Oregon now. My mom a sister and brother still live down there.

      You’re welcome Hector!, That trails been through a lot of changes over the years as you notice now there’s so many more rock steps, but it sure is a great workout and fun to run down!

    Thanks for showing us the trail, Daniel, I wasn’t sure if we still had a trail.

      No problem! I would’ve liked to show the rest of the trail, but that will be for another video. This was sort of an experimentation to see if my viewers are into trail tours, and so far the feedback is great, thank you!

    We will be coming up again in two weeks. We come up on Hwy 38 thru Barton Flats, after breakfast in Angeles Oaks. 😊. We hiked that waterfall trail last time we were up there. It was a beautiful day. Thank you, Daniel!

    There’s my condo complex where I own a condo. That park was just tall brush when I bought back in 2005. Used to have to park on the street and walk through it to fish at 5 am. I heard a mama bear and her cubs at the Creek inlet call east side of Boulder bay near the condo complex. I’ve ran through that Highbrush back to my truck real fast lol was scary

    Always enjoy your vids Daniel. Loved the nature hike and all the info you provided. You captured some beautiful scenery! (including the reflection of the sun setting over the lake as seen in your sunglasses at the end of the vid ☺️)

    • @DanielMorello
      @DanielMorello  Год назад

      I see between 45 and 50° but colder if I were to go up higher towards the top of the mountain

      @@DanielMorello due to flight routing etc. I could go to Hawaii for about the same price or cheaper than Big Bear. By the time you rent a car or get a puddle jumper..

    Why didn't the Mountain Shut Down in 2004 like it did in 2023?

    • @DanielMorello
      @DanielMorello  Год назад

      EXCELLENT question…
      I would guess that with this storm system the snow down in Running Springs, Arrowhead & Crestline was much wetter and came more all at once vs spread out over multiple storms.
