Dungeons & Dragons 5E: The Overpowered Spells of Fifth Level

The four of us cover our top 3 overpowered spells for 5th Level. We span all official published books to date and all classes. More devious and bonus action spells were found at this level.

Good fun conversation thanks. I like the idea of Animate Objects on those classic tall double dungeon doors. Animate the two doors and the tiny pins in the hinges, and maybe the lock (to turn it), now you have access. Surf through the dungeon on the doors. Literally animate statues against the medusa. Roll your cart uphill over difficult terrain like a 4x4. Those tapestries that are everywhere? Now they're grappling snakes along with the rugs. Your own flying carpet, with prestidigitation the carpets can match the drapes!
