  • In this video i'm going to show you the ultimate video for any beginner getting into BBQ!
I'm going to show you how to make smoked pulled beef brisket!
In this video i'm keeping it simple and cheap. This brisket cost me around $20, it was 1.3kg or so and could be stretched to feed a family of 5 or 6.... Maybe even more!
You can use pulled beef brisket in sandwiches, tacos, as pizza topping, in pasta, pies, nachos and much more!
For reference, here's how I smoked this brisket below:
    - Set my smoker to 250F/120c
    - Smoked for 2.5 hours until I was happy with how it looked
    - Wrapped in foil with beef stock and butter
    - Around 2 hours later the brisket was probing tender around the 210F/99c internal mark
    - I let the brisket rest before pulling apart
*Note that this was a small brisket, larger briskets will take much more time

I’ve never had pulled beef here in America 🇺🇸 only pulled pork but after watching this video I might have to try it but I would use a chuck roast and not a brisket for me that’s a waste of money and I would never just buy a flat or point. I like the whole packet brisket but dang bro good job on the bark and smoke ring. Love pecan wood chunks

Timing of this is awesome. Needed an idea on what to do with the point as I got a full brisket but only needed the flat for the recipe that I am going to cook. I wasn't sure what to do with the point until now. Thanks

Can you buy these knives in a set? Or you purchased individually and bought a storage roll?
    Thanks

Hey mate, really love that every so often you do use “supermarket” meat as not everyone can afford the top of the range stuff! As usual, I have a silly question….why do you “double foil wrap” a little brisket like that? Keep up the great work, cheers

How long did you let it rest before tearing the meat apart? Do you have any good tips for making the bark? Made this today and it was delicious! Just had trouble getting the bark to look as good as yours!

    • @LownSlowBasics
      @LownSlowBasics  3 месяца назад

Around an hour. Using a more coarse rub will help, larger cuts and leaving longer before wrapping too.

I once flicked pulled brisket by accidentally overcooking it, at first I was so pissed at myself then my wife says don’t even tell ‘‘em cos it’s frighten delicious, to this day they’ll mention that pulled beef was the best they’d ever had, now when I’m doing a brisket I ask the wife pulled or sliced to determine how long I cook it, always good pulled if we’re having a tex mex feast

@@LownSlowBasics yah were fat asses. your brisket looks great though. But hey fun tip of you wanna do something different with it. I let it chill and the next day put on a crock pot and put some potatoes and carrots and whatever else ya like and add some beef broth and then put that meat on top and let summer all day. the beef drippings go into the veggies and then it becomes like a smoked pot roast. it's really good. also a pan of water inside your smoker does miracles for moist meat
