I know they most likely recorded the whole thing already but I'm still gonna say this anyway: 1) You can manually lower the amount of the target goal. Do "Change Settings" before the board begins and you can change it there. You can also turn off the Bankruptcy Limit. 2) You can change how fast the characters move during the game in the options menu, go to "Other" before you roll. You can also turn off the NPC talk there.
Going back and watching this game makes me so nostalgic because I remember when this playthrough came out (along with the one with YoongTown), and I miss watching this channel.
hey pbg, i just wanna say thanks for all that you've done for me. we had to put my dog down today, and watching your videos really helped calm me down, you helped me through something today, and have helped me in the past, and i just wanna say thanks, thanks for all the laughs, always being positive, and helping me through some really tough times. i hope you continue to make me laugh, and make my rainy days brighter.
This was one of my favourite Wii Games. So underrated :D I think I always played easy mode cos the stocks confused me but it's a pretty great feeling when someone lands on your max capital'd building :D
Tom Fawkes recently confirmed on a livesteam that when he was with those guys recording Rayman Legends that they also recorded a couple games of Fortune Street, so hopefully it's their next game.
I... Am glad he isn't... He is very... Irritating, if you ever tried to talk to people that you idolize sometimes... They think too highly of themselves.
Me before watching the video: "i remember this game! it is actually a suprizingly fun version of monopoly, especially in "hard" mode with the adition of stocks and districts!" Me after watching the video: "that was poorly explained..." Collect all four suits to get a promotion, a promotion gives you cash based off your current standings when you next pass the bank (net value and shops owned). Landing on a suit perfectly or certain other squares (question mark) allows you to draw a venture card. Venture cards have a variety of effects, the main four involve making profit, loosing value, moving, and event npc showing up. they best compare to chance/community chest. Stocks are a way to predict how the game will progress and make or loose money accordingly. The best places to invest are monoplies, especially your own, as they are the most likely to be upgraded, rasing stock value. you can own more than 99 stocks in any district, but can only buy 99 at a time. 3 squares allow you to buy them: landing or passing the bank, landing on a stock broker (not all maps), or landing on your own vacant space with appropriate building. The only special space on this map not explained is cannon, wich launches you to an opponent of your choice (wont pay shop). It is a good idea to get promotions, especially early game, but in later game, it may be wiser to loop on your properties (safe squares) to avoid high priced opponents and raise your prices. Selling stocks have an extra level to them, as you can hurt opponents by selling stock where the opponent owns them, as long as you sell enough to drop the price, which also makes shops cheaper (but not by much). The instructions can be confusing, but it feels much easier once you start playing and learning them for yourself. Start with easy mode, which matches monoply better, and move to normal later once you understand the basics. maps change between the two modes, and easy doesnt have vacant plots, stocks, and districts, instead shopes become better by owning more in a row(adjacent). Vacant plot buildings are well enough explained by their description, but with standard amount of vacant plots, no more than 3 of each type can be present on the board at a time, regardless of ownership. ( all three owned by one person, 2 for one person 1 for another, or 1 per person with one player left out, FIRST COME FIRST SERVE). Manage shops allowes you to attemt various deals with other players involving property: selling, buying, and trading sometimes with cash.Auctions are also an option, but all three opponents compete and you get the winning bid, unlinke a debt/bankrupt auction, which goes to bank. Want more info? Get the game and learn it yourself. I dont have the time to explain everything...
There are a lot of "tricks and tips" in "Fortune Street". I know that because my dad forces me to play this game like everyday. 1) U just need 5 stocks to got the MAXIMUM commission in each department. 2) Some "special shops" are just useless such as home and agency. The best buildings are checkpoint and tax office. 3) this game is very luck dependent (like Monopoly)... But u can gain the most amount of money the quickiest if you upgrade ur shop to "3 star shop" when u have like a lot of stocks in that district.
This is one of my favourite games, and one of the few games me and my siblings are all happy to play together. If you think it's too complicated, trust me, PBG is right in that it's actually rather simple once you get the hang of it. P.S. For any fellow UK watchers who want to give it a try, it's called Boom Street on this side of the pond.
@@AlbertFingernoodle959 Damn I never knew I got invited to the Suffering Olympics! What a missed calling! Should I tell him I’m disabled too and have done the same thing, or no lol 😂
Random TV not necessarily. Wii games, depending on the Game, can go up to $50. examples being Xenoblade Chronicles and the Wii port of Pikmin 2 (And don't get me started on Dokapon Kingdom)
Awesome, it's about time you did this game. Me, personally, I find this game boring, but seeing other people play it is another story. Hope things go well for you two, especially Jeff (I have a feeling he'll get screwed over later on)~
Nomura very likely based that on Itadaki Street considering just how similar it is, all he's mentioned about command board is he included the minigame because he likes board games. This series is far far older, beginning on the Famicom in 1991, created by Yuji Horii, the creator of Dragon Quest.
Another time I'm dissapointed this isn't *GAME SQUAD.* But this should be interesting, especially now that I actually know how to play it now. -Waiting for NateandDookie Fortune Street playthrough now.-
" A lot of people haven;t played it. " I watch TRG play this game, a lot. It looks like a ton of fun and right up my alley but I'm holding out hope for a 3DS version since I want to play it on the go/ with friends.
I went through the comments just to see if anyone had mentioned those -- first thing I thought of when I started watching! It's totally "Nintendo Culdcept"...
Man I wish more people would actually show off the Dragon Quest portions of this game, as Mario is already popular. I actually played the whole single player portion to unlock all the stages.
I know they most likely recorded the whole thing already but I'm still gonna say this anyway:
1) You can manually lower the amount of the target goal. Do "Change Settings" before the board begins and you can change it there. You can also turn off the Bankruptcy Limit.

give this guy some up votes
why peebs don't pick Luigi
Reddit isn't the only thing with upvotes you nut.
Thanks! Spent so much time listening that NPC talk...
*Was just about to start my Economics Homework...*
Screw it, this is better information.
same tbh
True
Hilariously, this might actually help you with your economics.
Chocolatepicklesauce I know. I've noticed a bunch of vocabulary and it surprisingly makes sense.
How money works:
If you weren't born into a rich family you're FUCKED!
As a high school student, I think I've learned more about economy in this video than I have in any of my classes.
Going back and watching this game makes me so nostalgic because I remember when this playthrough came out (along with the one with YoongTown), and I miss watching this channel.
Same. Those were some good times.
Jeff should have been donkey Kong so he can roll a one and get all properties
Aaron Van Hecke But he always rolled low.

sorry to burst your bubble, but you are forced to play as your Miis.

Coming back to this series again. Still so much fun

I bought this game because of these videos a few years ago, I still play it today
this is totally accurate to the movie
thelegend 27 They could have called this game, Bird vs. Camel.

You guys should do Mario super sluggers for the wii it's so fun
Superstar Baseball is better!
But we have our own opinions.
CharlieFlips Ikr!! I loved that game
CharlieFlips I played that today 5 min ago!
@@ninjakai03 agree superstar baseball is great
I played super sluggers and superstar baseball so much as a kid, they're both really fun and some of my favorite games
I'm really disappointed that they didn't choose Wario as the enemy AI
Bizarre Bits Dude same 😂😂
Bizarre Bits
I personally don't like Wario.
He's just a fat greedy moron.
I would like him more if he would stop being dicky for cash.
*buys your best shop and is left with 0 gold and 1500 net worth* Yep this is good.
I SAID THE SAME THING!!
Wario: GREED IS GOOD!
"Argh! This stupid sun if blinding me! Think you can outshine the great Waluigi, do ya, sun?"
Allow me to fangirl a moment and say that Jeff has the best laygh ever. It's so cute and I can't help but laugh myself whenever I hear it. 😍❤
Oh hell yes, they are playing Boom Street. I love this game, gonna be amazing to see the shenanigans come from this.
Who else has no idea what's happening and you're just here for PBG's and Jeff's shenanigans? Lol.
Yeaaaaaaaaaaa they're playing fortune street! I played this game SO much... even though I had no idea what I was doing most of the time.
This was one of my favourite Wii Games. So underrated :D I think I always played easy mode cos the stocks confused me but it's a pretty great feeling when someone lands on your max capital'd building :D
Dude explains games ALMOST as frantically as I do 🤣
The fortune street let's play was one of my favorite things you guys did, next to Mario Party :D
I'm glad to see this game get attention, I love the series.
I really like this game. It's an underrated gem on the Wii.
Wow, this is actually a pretty neat game. I can see this being really fun in a 3-4 person party.
No Dragon quest characters or board, maaan come on guys. Dragon quest is a great series.
John Clelland But Mario
Boss Tweed But Dragon quest actually changes it's game
Ray Fanning I don't know lol I've never played the game I was just making a joke is all. It'd be cool to see them play it again and change it up.
TheRunawayGuys flashbacks are real
Tom Fawkes recently confirmed on a livesteam that when he was with those guys recording Rayman Legends that they also recorded a couple games of Fortune Street, so hopefully it's their next game.
Stephen also said he recorded some Fortune Street with them, i think.
The dice rolls are so slow in these settings. I've watched too much of The Runaway Guys' videos of this game. Anyway, I'm rooting for Luigi
yay pb and jeff playing fortune street one of my favorites
New shirt: Luigi rigged the economy!
4:17 to hear Jeff laugh like Scooby Doo
Man, I love this game! Thanks for playing this, you guys!

Wow it’s been three years since fortune street
This used to be my favorite game to play. I never thought you guys would play it.
Life hasn’t been the same since fortune street
DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW LONG I HAVE WAITED FOR THIS?
Thank you pb & jeff for showing me this game. Just finished another epic round with my mom

You got me obsessed with this game
YES!!!!!!!! it's here!!!!!!!!! we need 10,000,000 videos about this game!!!!!!!
Have you ever considered playing Town of Salem? It'd be pretty fun with you guys trying to figure out how it works.
yes!I have that game!
Love how Luigi is the nicest person.
Now we wait until Bowser is an opponent.
*Its PB and JEFF but every next episode the intro gets weirder*
I loved this series. You should of done more of them

You guys should have had ProtonJon join you to play Waluigi!
[in a vaguely Mexican accent]: I can help you all get married!

Waluigi don't give a damn!
Waluigi make your wedding day spectacular!

I've been waiting for you guys to play this game!!!
Love this game, was actually playing it before i saw this video uploaded
That nice moment when you realize you don't really need a new season of hardcore because you like the content going up right now

So, if someone was to clean some place up they would get something important and almost priceless?
You're living a misguided life Luigi.
Mario's an A, and Luigi's a C. The developers really nailed the source material.

When PBG "accidentally" locks his wife out of the house...
So...basically command board from Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep?
I was wondering the same D:
I was thinking the same
Michang command board was based on this series but these games were japan only for a while
Robert Shepherd Ohhhh yeah, I was gonna say, I thought they might be connected since they're both developed by square XD
i still want a full command board game fortune street would merge perfectly with it
