I think Masae is my favorite guest, partly because of Carver's amazing prance, and partly because of how weird the games end up being whenever she plays with you guys. And, unsurprisingly, this game's no exception to that so far!
The funny thing is, considering how many companies try to keep up with the "in crowd" and gamble on up-and-coming potential customers, he's probably _right._
Y'know, Chugga mentioned a game titled "marionette" and...There actually is ONE game I can think of that would work. It's more than a little late for it, but the game "Chou Soujuu Mecha MG" or "Super Control Mecha MG" is a game where you control Marionation Gears, or Puppets, in a massive variety of control styles. Some of them even outright use Marionette controls! The pilots are called "Puppeteers", so it could be that "Marionette" evolved into this game.
Masae playing once again as everyone's favorite "muscle man"? Yes please. I am not a Fortune Street/Monopoly player, but since this is literally a HUGE board, I would prioritize having lots of shops over a few expensive shops. Pick up the coin when you can and focus on getting bigger pay packets to invest in your shops/your districts whenever possible.
It feels like a lot happened quickly, but the things that usually happen early haven't happened yet. Maybe the size of the board is making it seem that way. I'm looking forward to this.

@@luigissidekick861 I did that too my first time, but then I got good enough to try for a win and got it.
@Dovahgatr Real talk, in the timeline where AI revolt against humanity, Fortune Street is probably one of the highest ranking generals in the military, given how good their AI is at playing dirty.
this was me and the browser's castle stage. My usual strats don't work because there's very little way to force the AI into bad situations. Peach destroyed me so many times
Welcome back to Fortune Street Guys
Alefgard is a huge map...but the over world music is one of my favorites in this game.
"I really need to play a Dragon Quest game. I never have"
*coughmultipleDragonQuestgamesincluding11thebestgameintheserieswerejustreleasedforSwitchcough*
PeaTearGryfin I have those games, currently playing through DQ3 (loving it as well), but how does one play the rest?
If 11 is the best then I seriously question the quality of the rest of the series...
@@BlockheadGrande No, the recent release being the best shouldn't cause you to question the entirety of the series.
@@BlockheadGrande Okay, Boomer.
@@MrMarcwill90 Your best legal options are mobile (Zenithian Trilogy and 8), 3DS (7, 8) and DS (9).
Emulation-wise, the Zenithian games are available for DS, 7 was a PS1 game, and 8 was a PS2 game.
They should really do an LP of one of the Dragon Quest games on this channel, I have a hunch all three would enjoy just about any of the games and there are plenty of weird moments in all the games I would love to hear them react to.
But who would be the one who would play the majority of the game? Usually when single-player games are played on the channel it is just one person playing through the game and the other two guiding them through, like last time with Emile and Star Fox 64.
@@rcmero I would say whoever likes JRPGs the most, Emile due to the series' penchant for puns, or they could trade off after every "chapter" since nearly every Dragon Quest story divides itself up into distinct sections even if they never sort them in-game
I don't think a traditional RPG like DQ would work for TRG. And no, Dokapon doesn't count.
@@rcmero They all played Sonic Adventure. It's not restricted to someone having not played the game.
@@Pikachu2Ash Yeah, but usually there is just one person playing, which is what I was talking about.
13:28 Beautiful singing of the DQ Level Up theme! I love that theme!
Yeah we got Manenla in this! I got into dragon quest thanks to Tim great games.
12:25 "this music's so relaxing, I wanna play a DragonQuest game one of these days, I never have."
~Chuggaaconroy at the date the video was recorded
Does that mean a DragonQuest LP from the guy?! :eyes:
Chuggaa doesn't do blind LPs, so if he did decide to do a DQ LP it'd be further down the road.
considering he never plays a game on his channel that he hasn't already like three times and likes to collect pretty much everything, at least as far as lps go, but having never played a dragon quest would likely take three or four episodes to discover you can break pots for items and check certain bookcases for bits of lore, i'm pretty confident that even the shortest of dragon quests he won't be starting a let's play on for four or five years minimum.
@@HowlingOneify Although, Chugga could play the original Dragon Warrior on TRG. I think it's short enough for a TRG trip.
Though Chuggaa hasn't played any DQ games, I think he would probably LP one a while after he does.
...And the world would end because of the aPUNcalypse!
"I'm really happy to have you back Masae. Because these games always are insane whenever you're involved in them." -Chugga
Ahahaha hindsight's fun.
11:00 Jon gets 5 and 23 while playing as Waluigi...HAIL ERIS
UGH ALEFGARD MY HEART! Also that music ... Uuugh, my Dragon Quest feels.
BTW, this music is a BEAUTIFUL remix of the DQ Overworld theme.
EDIT: Yes, Dragon Quest Builders 2 is already out.
Matthew Gostick Completionist: But how about that Dragon Quest Heroes, though?!
@@johnnyalucard6641 I will admit, that's one of the few DQ games that are out in North America that I haven't played.
Yay masae is back
I was fully watching Chugga’s Xenoblade chronicles series and this showed up 😅
All the cool kids are hanging out at the stock market
Honestly Fortune Street is the only thing I watch on this channel
yay, more fortune street! and with masae too.
*New fortune street episode*
Aw Yeah!
*Masae is Carver*
AW YEAH!
*Reads title*
Knuckles: "Oh no."
Everytime messae said alfgarde I heard olive garden with the vowel sound
Let's hope there's less uneducated decisions in this session.
And even if there are, they will fall to
*CARVER'S M U S C L E S*
Jon, if you do what’s in and hip with the kids, you’d probably end up like Altria, which just wrote off a third of the value of its juul investment ... so maybe that’s not always the best idea
I seriously hope you play with vacant plots in the future!
Yes, fortune street.
What kind of bullshit will happen this time?
Alltrades Abbey... Is a map of Japan, isn't it?
This is going to get crazy so fast!!
STONKS!!!
Just saying Emile, you'd adore Dragon Quest 11, it'd make a great LP.
This board is going to take a while. The board itself is huge... and also, "newcomer", Emile?
Love youre guys content keep it up guys
Hope Jon plays better this time. Still rooting for Emile, but still.
If Emile wants to play a Dragon Quest game, I heavily recommend 3, 4, or 6 as good starting points. 8 is also a good spot to begin.
I'd probably say 5 since he likes Pokemon and it's a solid entry in its own right.
I see the new TRG ownership is going strong with Masae's presence :P. We just need Tom again soon.
... Only those who watched the TRG Mario Party 3 stream few days ago on Twitch would get it. I believe its VOD is still there as of the time this was posted.
I mean, technically this was recorded last year. :P
@@noircore I just find Masae being the guest as a coincidence, but at the same time I can just imagine her and/or Tom being responsible with the upload. *looks description*... Probably.
Yeah, I know that whole thing is a joke in the end. Would have loved to see an actual video with just those two from this year, however (but if that were the case, that needs to be next year with the upload time).
@@Fairy27Main It's not much of a coincidence considering Masae lives near Emile, so she's always able to meet with her friends.
@@noircore I was thinking more on it could have been any known guest but fair enough.
13:34 That tells us just how long ago this was.
