      Hi Joselyn! I have considered a more expensive backpack with better “features”. But having a cheaper one means that I don’t have to be too precious with it. It goes on the floor on airplanes and in airports, so I don’t see the need to get something expensive. We will see how long this backpack lasts, I have been eyeing up a Tom Bihn but the price tag is hard to justify… 🫶🏼

    Hi, Annabel! Toiletries can be a challenge! I like to consider not “Which (mini-sized) toiletries do I need?”, but “How much of these toiletries will I need to use?” Example, I wouldn’t need an entire travel sized eye cream since I’m only going to use a pea-sized amount for 3 days. So, I can put just a smidge of it in a tiny sample container & be good to go!

    I’m also a book lover (the smell and feeling of holding a book is amazing!) but just would like to say that once you try an e-reader you won’t regret it. E-readers with e-ink screens are just like paper. No eye fatigue and honestly super lightweight and convenient unlike an ipad.
    Ask someone to borrow you one. Give it a try. You honestly won’t regret it.

      Hi! Thank you for the lovely comment! As for the e-reader I actually don’t know anyone that owns one to borrow! 😅 I also find it funny how a lot of viewers like to push this upon me, but I am truly happy with carrying a book. My iPad has other purposes I need for a trip so I would not swap out one for the other, meaning that I would have to carry both an e-reader and the iPad anyway, so I’d rather just have the book. I treid so many bar shampoos from the store until I did some research and found that the PH of bar products are usually way too high, especially real bar soaps that are very alkaline compared to their liquid counterparts. I've now switched to usings a syndet bar that's balanced at a PH of 5.5, much more similar to the PH of our body and scalp which ranges from 3.5 to 5.5, and can be used for hair, face, and body without drying my skin or scalp out (that PH is actually lower than many liquid products that are typically "PH balanced," which means theyre closer to a 7 PH like water is). You might wanna give it a try, it's the 100 Senses Body Bar and I usually go with the fragrance free version, but I actually enjoy all their scents since thats kinda what they specialize in being a bubble bath company. I use the bar when traveling and at home, though I'm going through a bit of a shower body gel with AHA's kick at the moment when I'm home. Though, I'm still trying to find a good conditioning bar that doesn't make my hair feel sticky the next day. On my upcoming trip, I've decided to leave my liquic conditioner at home and just use a leave in conditioner that would help with conditioning and styling. Your videos are really good, this is like the 3rd travel packing video I've seen of yours and I'm still picking up tricks.

      Hi Laura! I don’t have a link as I got it from Marshalls back in the winter of 2022! But the label says the brand is ‘Hanes’ and I only got it for $7.99 at the time! I think you can find something similar by them on Amazon. Hope that helps! 🫶🏼

    An e reader is not really screen time as the e ink displays have no blue light. It's not comparable to reading on a phone or an iPad. I get why you won't switch to an e reader. I probably wouldn't have if the books I read were as slim as the ones you take with you. ❤😅 Sadly, mine are too heavy to lug around and get left behind at home.

      @MinimallyAnnabel  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi! In terms of their displays I can see why an e-reader is not classed as screen time, but for me it’s also about getting away from electronics completely too. And yes, we purposely choose smaller paperback books over longer novels when we travel to save on weight! 😅 Sometimes we will be mid way through a longer book but we leave it at home and have a different one for travel, but we’re okay with that! That extremely thick and heavy shoulder bag is weakest link here. Do you really have to travel with that massively thick one?

    • @MinimallyAnnabel
      @MinimallyAnnabel  2 месяца назад +7

      Hi! I don’t see my shoulder bag as a ‘weak link’. It was something I wanted to bring and matched my outfits for NYC and therefore I packed it. Thanks for watching! 🫶🏼

      @@MinimallyAnnabel I guess it depends on how you view invertebrates. Leaping Bunny might approve, but personally, I won't use snail based products due to the collection process from the snails. It's a stomach-turning process, to me. I really to reiterate this is my personal opinion, but I thought you'd want to know. Pardon me if this comment is unwarranted

      Understand your point of view. I am not vegan but I try my best to avoid products that are tested on animals. I don’t believe that Peach Slices’ practices are harmful, in my opinion. Here is a link of their process: www.peachandlily.com/blogs/news/51230725-reasons-we-love-snail-mucin
