🌻 Extra info about what I packed
I ended up taking around 4-5 tops in the end as I realised I also had my workout tops that I could wear if I wanted to. I also decided to take my older pair of Nike walking sneakers which I knew I could throw out along the way as I only wanted them for a portion of the trip. Packing this way really lightened my bag and ensured my luggage was only around 8kg~. Honestly, this has been the perfect amount for 3+ weeks of travel. This is exactly how much I take for 4, 5, 6+ weeks also 😊.

🌻 More about this video
In this video I'm sharing all the tips and tricks I use to travel the world with JUST a carry on. Travelling light has been a freeing, life changing (no joke) experience, and I would never go back to paying for checked baggage.
Once you understand what and how to pack for travel, you'll start to see how easy it really is. Plus, the amazing benefit of travelling with carry on is you can stay within budget, or potentially save money on your travels.
Let's not make travelling a burdensome, difficult experience. Travelling should be fun, easy and definitely shouldn't put enormous strains on our wallets.
Check out this video on how to pack with just a carry on so you can embark on your next [no checked baggage] adventure ;). - Хобби
I’ve done all international (up to three weeks) and domestic traveling the past two years with carry on only, and it’s a life changer! So much less stress!
Ah love it! It really is a life changer, isn’t it! 😍✈️
Did you also shop souvenirs/things to bring back?
@mina0398 Occasionally, but I’ll only buy something if I absolutely love it and can see myself using it when I’m back home/or whilst travelling. I’ve definitely made the mistake of buying small souvenirs, items, etc and then never looking at them again as soon as I get home 😅. So I try to be very deliberate, and if I do buy something it’ll often be light/small. But if I know I’m going to an area where there will be interesting things and potentially more to buy then I’ll under pack purposefully so that I can buy a few things ☺️
Oh yeah baby! Keep travelling and keep rocking those shades.
Woo!! Thank you ☺️
Loved this video! You fit everything you need ❤

Well done! I use packing cubes too, but I like the idea of using the flat bag for undies and socks. 😊
How good are packing cubes 😍. Yay! Defintely try out the flat bags, it makes a difference when space is limited 😊
great video📸
Thanks for watching 🥰❤️
Awesome video. Thank you
I’m so glad you liked it! Thank you for taking the time to comment 🥰❤️
I've been wanting to try carry on. Going to try getting a smaller bag like yours!
Yes try it!! You won’t regret it ;) ❤️
What brand are the bags?
@@amtopm9385 Funny enough these are both from IKEA! Great material, great design and they were super affordable 😊
@@libbyyazbekHi Libby the backpack and the weekend bag is part of the VÄRLDENS series. That is IKEA's travel series, they even have a 30L carry on luggage as well 😊
Oh amazing! I didn’t know this. Thank you for sharing the name of the series. I love their bags. Honestly some of the best I’ve used. A little travel hack 😎
Hi, there! Could you share the brand of the towel? Thank you in advance!
Great tips! I need to get one of those small packable backpacks.
Where's your next destination?
Thank you ☺️. Yes, try to find the foldable ones. They’re so handy! I’m thinking South Korea could be my next destination.
It looks so interesting and full of culture. And sooooo many foods to try 🤤
Can you do a video on hair care and growing your hair long pls? your hair is beautiful!
Thank you so much lovely 🥰 yes absolutely! That video is on my list and will be something I get to in the very near future ❤️
Really nice video very helpful. Just a few questions, what company is the foldable backpack from I don't see a link? And another question, what is the bag you used to put your passport in, I don't see a link to it? If you can provide a link for these that would be great. And again really great video, I'm going on a trip to Europe for about 3 weeks and might consider taking this bag. Also I love shopping at ikea.
Hey lovely! Thank you for your lovely comment 🥰. Unfortunately I don’t think the foldable backpack is still in stock - it was originally from H&M and it was called “Water Repellent Backpack”. I’ve linked a similar one in the description for you to check out. It’s not exactly the same, but similar ☺️. Also, the small green passport pouch was actually given to me on a Qantas flight, I don’t think those ones can be purchased. But any small structured pouch or passport holder will do the trick for your passport! I hope that helps a tiny bit. Have an amazing time on your trip to Europe! Safe travels 😍🌞
Thank you so much for replying. I just really liked how the pouch looked so I wanted to ask. 😊
You’re welcome ☺️
Good tips thanks 😊 one thing I will say though is it’s easy to pack just in a carry on when the majority of what you’re wearing are shorts and tank tops
Yes 100% agree! It is very easy to pack for summer weather. I’ll do another video in the future when packing for “winter” / cooler weather. It’s definitely still doable 😉😊
Where did you put your smallest cube with gym wear? It's not in your backpack and tote.
Oh oops!! I must have accidentally cut that out in my editing and not realised 😹. It goes into my ‘main’ carry on bag. I just squish it in really close to my other packing cubes. It works well because it’s small and the packing cubes can fit against each other. Thanks for pointing that out 😁
TIP get individual shoe bags as its easier to pack each shoe in diff slots in the bag
Oo love this idea! A game of Tetris with the shoes always 😅. Thank you for taking the time to comment 🥰
Are the packing cubes and clear makeup bags sold out?
No not yet! :). I’ve linked them in the description, you should still be able to get them or something very very similar ☺️
Do you then have to open several bags to put all of your liquids together going through the airport?
I’ve actually never ever had to open my toiletries bags! As long as the liquids stay under 100ml then you’re good to go. I’ve flown small European airlines and I’ve never had problems with having a “main” toiletries bag (like my pink one) and then a smaller little makeup bag 😊
where is the backpack from?
Hey lovely! It’s from IKEA :). It’s surprisingly super sturdy and very well made. Definitely check out their ‘travel’ range 🥰
how many days/months is this bag for?
So this is for 3-4 weeks! I usually pack with the mindset of packing for around 1 week (with a few extra tops 😅). That usually covers me for multiple weeks because it’s hard to wear more than one weeks worth of clothes in reality 😊
Thanks 😊….. what’s the total weight? Because now, even if you have a small backpack if you are over 17 lbs/ 7or8 kg (i think 🤔) you will have to pay extra money 🤨😔
Yes, you’re right ;). My main bag is around 7-8kg. My smaller bag is a a few kgs because of my laptop, but I hide that one behind me if I’m near the airline staff so they don’t see it haha. I also sometimes take a smaller bag just to fit my laptop so it looks like a “personal bag” and they don’t weigh personal bags (in my experience) 😁
Many budget airlines only let yoi have 7 or 10 kg altogether or just 1 bag. How does that work for summer/winter. Does a hip strap really help with weight of pack please?
Hey lovely! @lbunnygordon113 I found the waist strap on my old bag only useful when I was walking for long period of time from destination to destination. I would say at that time I was doing more traditional “backpacking travel”. Now, I do less budget/backpacking travel so find that I can get away without having the waist strap. It’s really a personal preference! The waist strap just helps support a heavier backpack as the hips carry the load as opposed to your shoulders. If I were you I would consider the type of travel you want to do, and then go and try out a few backpacks in store :). If you are taking a heavy backpack, then likely having waist straps is the way to go! ❤️
I would not travel carry on only in Japan. Absolutely so much stuff to buy at a very affordable price
Yes good point! Japan is high on my bucket list. I was considering taking carry-on on the flight over with another smaller soft bag inside so I can buy stuff and then check one or two of the bags in if needed on the way out (as long as I’m heading straight back home) 😁😁
@@libbyyazbek you need to go! You can fill a checked bag pretty quickly depending on what you buy. Some people just buy a checked bag there to not pay the bag on the way there
I've never been to Europe but I'll make it out there eventually 🤙🏼 I want to return to Japan again next year I enjoyed it that much
Ohhh I bet there are just so many amazing things to see and do there (and buy 😅)!! I can’t wait, it’s a place I’d love to get to within the next year.
Europe is cool, but soooo different to Asia. I honestly love SEA so much, I have no doubt I’d fall in love with Japan.
I like your idea of buying a checked bag over there, something I will likely do when I go 😍
How many kgs in total?
Usually no more than about 8-9kg. I try keep my main carry on at around 7-8kg and then my little backpack/smaller bag at around 1-2kg. This is usually a good way to do it and avoid the bags being weighed 😊
'How to pack light when travelling'...
Proceeds to pack different sets of clothes for 7 days and 3 pairs of shoes 😅
Haha well this is for about 1 month of travelling! Honestly it’s been a perfect amount with my bag only weighing around 8kg. I took out a few shirts tbh lol, only ended up with about 5. I purposely took an old pair of Nike walking sneakers so I could throw them out as I knew I’d only need them for a portion of the trip. But apart from that, it has been a perfect amount of items! 😉😁
rather just carry (1) 35 o 40l bag lol.
Yeah for sure! Whatever works and feels good for your travels ☺️😊
